This is what JOHN MORIELLO of Foxports.com had to say... http://msn.foxsports.com/cbk/story/7895944?MSNHPHCP>1=39002 (9) The Houston Rockets' last 18 opponents: It's not like the Rockets are a bad team; it's like a $75 cab fare from where the Rockets hang out to the slums occupied by the Heat, Knicks and T'wolves. But it's completely absurd for the Rockets to be able to string together 18 wins when Tracy McGrady has shot under 40 percent seven times and Yao Ming has missed the last six games with a season-ending injury. Throw out T-Mac and Luis Scola, and I can't find anyone on the roster I'd bother guarding. So how have they won nine straight by double digits?
as far as the article goes, it basically says the writer didnt bother to pay attention to any of the Rockets games during their streak and on paper, the Rockets dont look as good as they really are... what a lazy and uninspired take
lol. Exactly what most Rocket haters do. Or Whos Carl Landry? Hes only avg 8.5 points, 5 rebounds a game.
What I love is how the "experts" talk about true basketball being a team sport and not an individual one and even use that excuse to explain why Team USA has fared so poorly in the past week World Champions and Olympics, but when a NBA team is playing GREAT TEAM basketball, the same type of basketball that these "experts" refer to as true basketball, they don't give the team any credit and search for things to discount their accomplishments!
Some other poster already said Rafer Alston and Carl Landry. Add Luis Scola, T-Mac, Mutombo, Yao, Shane Battier, Steve Novak (GW 3 pointer), Chuck Hayes, and Bobby Jackson. Coaching (big thanks to Rick Adelman) Great Execution Great Offense Absolutely Outstanding Defense Didn't the Trailblazers win 12 in row with no superstars on the team?
