Dave Matthews Band?

    Could it be?

I'm sitting here listening to "Before These Crowded Streets", and I can't imagine them not being the best ever.

Blake - Great call on "Pig". Definitely a tremendous song.

I'd have to say Metallica or Pearl Jam are my choices for best band ever, though Dave Matthews Band is great.

You don't have to think about about. Everyone has programmed into their genes that the best band ever is the Beatles. That is like Elvis is the King. It is simply not a debate. Now if we want to discuss the next best band we can talk. Dave and his boys are great but they have about five good albums to go until they can touch Led Zep or the Stones. Before that they have to compete with Queen, The Police, and some others, help me out boys, it is late...

To me, this is a question of personal taste, not of what you're supposed to think.

So, I'm going with Dave, then U2 a close second. If U2 continues to make albums like All That You Can't Leave Behind, then all bets are off. Of course, I think that Busted Stuff is easily DMB's best work.

    Nomar, thanks.

I know their stuff has been down lately, but I would have to say the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

    Beatles
    Led Zeppelin

To me they are the 2 clear-cut favorites for this title.

After them, you have all kinds of worthy candidates including Nirvana, Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, U2, REM, The Cure, Queen, and The Who.

However, there are many more but these are the ones that come to my mind.

My senior year our HS band director made the marching band play this stuff. He got fired for being a crackhead later in the year.

Just a story I wanted to share.
