Ive been posting this in recent game threads and various other threads. We have a strong bench this season and this our biggest weapon other then our defense. Without Yao and T-mac, this team has rallied and the bench has been a huge part of out sucess.

Landry is a early 6th man potential candidate, Chase is a stud and is proving to be a intregal part of the team, and you can't forget about Lowry and his hard nosed driving and creating plays.

If we are going to keep this up the entire season, our bench will be one of the two most important factors. I think we have perfect complements on this team. I really love this team..

    Bench scoring:

    vs OKC: 43 -11

    vs LAL: 43 - 15

    vs Utah: 40 - 13

I agree. As long as Landry & Budinger continue to put forth good numbers off the bench, I have confidence that the Rockets can compete with any team on any given night.

However, the Rockets only had 28 bench points vs. the Lakers (20 from Landry, 8 from Lowry).

Your right, I must have added the Lakers 15 to the Rockets total. Thanks for the correction

The bench will be integral to the team's success this year and we have quality personnel in Landry, Budinger, and Lowry. I just drool at the possibility of having Landry, Budinger, Battier/Ariza, Hayes, and Lowry all off the bench only if we had Tmac and Yao. :(

I sincerely believe we have the BEST team in the NBA based on the players we have. We would be unstoppable with everyone healthy. This team is contructed to near perfection aside from the health issue. Morey is a genius.

Very impressive numbers from the bench, if anything it says how well coached our team is.

All three of those guys have been great, but it all starts with the phenomenal play of Lowry, IMO. I'm absolutely loving the way he's been managing that second unit and dictating the pace of the game. I can't think of a better backup PG out there right now.

The only problem with our bench, obviously, is the lack of backcourt depth. Any injury to Lowry or Budinger (knock on wood) would really mess up the rotation. Taylor better be practicing real hard. :)

True. Plus when T-mac comes back, our bench becomes evn more stronger though. i just love this unit and hope they keep devoloping as a team.

Its nice knowing if our defensive starting lineup can stay in the game with the better starting lineups, our bench will not only keep us in the game but take the lead. This Rockets team is going to be in the playoffs and I almost want to say they are capable of grabbing homecourt while there at it.

And Chase did not play to add his 15 pts it would have hit the average of 40pts from the bench.

Good point regarding constructing this team. If healthy:
    Starters
    Brooks
    McGrady
    Ariza
    Scola
    Yao

    Bench
    Lowry
    Buddinger
    Battier
    Landry
    Hayes

    I've seen a lot worse.
