One thing for sure is that I know they both have never seen a Rockets game but rather look at the stats or watch the highlights. Why do people expect Tmac to come back and play large amount of minutes in his first couple games. That guy was saying, Tmac is only playing 6-7 minutes and it has been 5 games. I guess people don't understand that Rick is trying to work Tmac slowly back into the game rather than just throwing him in there right after his microfracture surg. and make him play 30-35 minutes. What most people see is that he is playing around 7 minutes and think that the Rockets don't want anything to do with him. If the Rockets are trying to showcase him, they would make him play a lot more and try to built up his stats so other teams would be interest. But the Rockets do see a future with him so that is why they are so cautious with him and want him to slowly work his way back into a fully healthy Mcgrady. Its that simple. Rick is slowly easing Tmac back into game shape other than throwing him out there and let him hurt himself. They are not showcasing him because if they were, he would be playing a lot of minutes during his first few games back. He got a microfracture surgery for god sake, don't expect him to be fully ready. He would need time, lots of time to get back to where he was. So the first month is basically let him get the feel for the game and shake off all his rust. By second or third month he should be ready to go. But people are expecting too much out of him in the first month. People are expecting Tmac to come right back, play big minutes and put up big numbers. Sorry people, but it is more complicated than it looks. It would take Tmac at least a month or two to really get back into rhythm and start putting up decent numbers and take the ball away from Ariza.
Actually Skeets occasionally watches the Rockets... I typically watch their show (or listen to it) daily. Most of the time they don't watch the Rockets games, but Skeets will if it's one of a few on LP.
He's been complimentary of them this season.. but in the past he's seldom had good things to say about them (I would say he's more a Tmac hater - which is understandable since he's from Toronto)
Dude did Tracy slash your tires and sleep with your significant other? It's Christmas day. Let go of the hate for one day.
That is refreshing to hear (I haven't really tuned in this year). I remember how he tried to play down the Rockets so much during the 22 game win streak while Skeets praised the team.
