    I love Cuttino the player!!!

    He is exciting and explosive.

But Cuttino had gone cold and he continued to shoot the ball way past that.

Francis, never went cold, he just stopped shooting the ball.

The ball should have been in Francis' hands. He is the Rocket Franchise. And one thing, you win and lose with your best player. Not your second best player; your best player.

When is Mobley going to accept the fact that this is Francis' team! Mobley's job is to bail out francis when Francis is being double teamed!

If Francis was not on the team, I'd be ecstatic with Mobley's ball hogging at the end, but that was just plain selfishness by Mobley.

Cuttino Sucks! I'd trade him for Vinny DelNegro straight up.

    Tell Rudy that.

It seems a lot of people are always complaining that Francis should have the ball at the end of the game. I agree with that, but Mobley also should have the ball. We have a habit of just giving it to Mobley most of the time. Why not have a two sided attack? One play for chise, then one for Mobley, etc?

Agreed. After Cuttino misses twice, go back to Steve. The problem with the iso is if Cat misses the layup we have no rebounders on a short miss and they have four.

Rudy would milk a cow well into menopause before changing heffers.

You think 3 beautiful looks and two sad roll outs are "going cold".

That was NOT SELFISHNESS. That is what Rudy ordered!!! Apparently, you did see not that Francis was waving himself off and telling moochie to give the ball to Mobley. Apparently you did not see a recent article by Francis saying Mobley is "our big-play guy". That was not selfishness. That is crap.

That finger roll is about the best look you can get. Marion throws up some junk from his hip for a bank shot slop, and Mobley gets questioned by you for a finger roll dead center in the middle of the lane.

that's is pure backseat coaching with no point. What a whiner you are, vince!! And get a new moniker that doesn't pay tribute to a player on another team.

Whio said Francis wants the ball at the end of the game? If Francis wanted the ball he would get it.
Bottom line is either Francis doesn't want it a the end or he is more comfortable with Cat taking the shots.

Ok, my take on last night's game is this... Why was Moochie on the floor towards the end? Shandon should of bee in so he can matchup against Marion who was giving Mobley fits on the defensive end. I know Mooch is better on offense but when you are trying to preserve a lead, I think defense is key. That's it...

no, the forum locked and anyone posting at that time hit multiple submits because we got an error message. It happened in most all the threads.

natural tendency to hit re-submit when you get an error message. I won't do it again, promise.

I don't know Heypartner, I think that Francis fake-three pointer was a much better shot than that Mobley "fingerroll". He shot that fingerroll with about three people guarding him, and he was not that close to the basket. Rudy should have run whatever play that was in Atlanta, because that was a brilliant shot by Steve. Mobley is a great player, and he should be used when Francis is ice-cold. He should NOT be used when Francis is scoring at will, which is what he was doing in the third quarter.
You defend Mobley by saying, "Rudy called the play". Well, that is precisely what I, and many others are arguing against.

    ZRB,

you are really going to question me, when I have a tape.

I just watched the play again. Mobley was inside the circle. Three people jumped, but no one was anywhere close to blocking that. He was not in Triple Coverage. Mobley was also fouled on the 10 footer from the baseline by a streaking rotation player.

Mo' also had great position for a rebound, since three Suns left their feet to go after Mobes. Marion freaking pulled one down over Mo'. dammit. Mo' had position.

quit exaggerating to make your points you troll. And I know you are Turn, as well. freaking troll.

You thought that three straight Mobley misses was better than that great play by Steve at Atlanta? Or when Steve drew a foul against Golden State? I don't care where Mobley was, he was not going to get a call. He should have passed to someone else. The best player on the team, perhaps.
Ahhhhh Just 10 more days of not starting a thread, and you can stop calling me a troll.

I am not a Mobley fan but, he scored 13 points in a row to get us the lead that we lost. Those were good looks and good drives to the basket. The shots just didn't go down. Mo missed a point blank put back also. Our turnovers and missed layups cost us the games as much as Mobley's misses at the end. Also, the other night it was Mobley's drives to the basket at the end of the game and his 14/14 free throws that helped win the game.

Yeah, will then quit going into the chat room as Turn then. Use your real moniker, or I will still call you a troll.

What do you mean do I think 3 misses is better than a make?

You're an idiot. The question should be: 3 better looks than Francis shooting a 3 after really wanting to pass and not take the last shot. And also, you called that Atlanta thingy a callable play by Rudy. That was in the middle of a swing around. That had nothing to do with Francis's playmaking ability anymore than a Walt 3 to win it is.

Also, I love the fact the troll slinks away from saying the finger roll wasn't close or 3 guys where on him, after I pulled the tape to prove you wrong. You never get your arguments right.

    well now,

after i effectively put the clamps on Scarface's thread already, i guess i'll mosey over here...

seems like heyp's got it in check, but let me chime in...

at what point should cuttino not have had the ball? before or after the 13 straight?
here's another one for you cat roasters...were you asking for cat to get the ball before he got 13 in a row?

i bet the answer is "no". know why? cause you are a cat hater. i would list names, but there are plenty of them in here and in Scarface's thread about cat and the media.

    carry on, heyp.
    carry on.

Heypartner, when reviewing the gametape do you do you see any reason as to why Rudy has Moochi Norris on the court forcing Mobley to guard Marion and Walt williams into the Power foward position? IMO, this killed us last night. The last two games we were able to get away with this lineup in the fourth, but I see it as an ultiamte deterrent for any future fourth quarter success.

I can understand having Walt in the game becuase he's our only real feeder off a double teamed iso. The thing that I'm having a hard time understanding is why Rudy rotates him out of the Small foward position replacing Keeny Thomas, a power foward, all for the sake of leaving in Moochie Norris. Why?
