Alright. Who is going to stand up and admit to watching The Bachelor tonight. There's a chick from Houston and Galveston on the show. I remember some of you came out and admitted to watching parts of the last season. Fess up. Erica - Houston "socialite" Jami - Galveston
erica rose was a friend of mine in high school...this will be the first season i watch bachelor, and im guessing shes one of the first few gone
Erica has a Dad who is a world famous plastic surgeon. People come from all over the world to see Dr. Rose. My wife's boss knows her Dad. He's also famous for doing the boob jobs for all the high end strippers in Houston.
are you guys fellow memorial hs'ers like me? looks like shes already getting labeled as the ditz...NO SURPRISE THERE
i know erica too... if you know what i mean Bus Driver: That Veronica Vaughn is one hot piece of ace, I know from experience dude. If you know what I mean. Billy Madison: No, you don't. Bus Driver: Well, not me personally but a guy I know. Him and her *got it on*. Wooo-eee! Billy Madison: No, they didn't. Bus Driver: No, No, they didn't. But you could imagine what it'd be like if they, eh, eh... everybody on, good, great, grand, wonderful. [shouts] Bus Driver: No yelling on the bus! anyway, both those girls look the same to me. no tv for me... until wed - LOST and south park!!!
my first thought on Erica...if she was 16 years old, she'd be the perfect type of person on MTV's Sweet Sixteen. totally superficial. they've got her as a socialite....ahhahahaha. looks like a total ditz. i was surprised she got a rose the first night. by the way, that Italian chick he picked is hot, hot, hot.
^^^ i'm with gay Faos. i not only watch it for hot women (to be honest, there were quite a few that were a 6 and under), but for psychological observation.
Yes, and because you admit it... I caught the last couple of minutes to see how hot the chicks were...That make-up artist from Chicago that sold her car to get there...Man, I was like, don't worry baby, daddy will take care of you...Damn, now I have to sell my car to get to Chicago...
you found her attractive? i thought she was one of the dogs. ok, dog is too harsh. she definitely was someone i thought, "what is she doing there?" she was too emotional about the whole thing. the only decision that surprised me was Erica.
I thought you guys who know her might like to read this. Is this her real rack or did daddy the plastic surgeon give that to her? http://www.houstonchronicle.com/disp/story.mpl/front/4261377.html Oct. 15, 2006, 11:22PM Bachelor's Rose takes thorny image in stride Houston socialite says it's OK if viewers don't get her — or her tiara By MIKE MCDANIEL Copyright 2006 Houston Chronicle Young Houston socialite Erica Rose, one of nine women vying for the hand of a handsome prince on ABC's reality series The Bachelor, has become the woman that viewers love to hate. That has to hurt. Not so much, Rose said. "I've only had a positive experience on the show. Some people have had negative reactions to me, but that's their own problem," she said. "That's just people being weird, and I can't control that. I never have been one who cares what other people think. I care what my parents think." After two episodes, talk shows and Web sites have chided the 23-year-old daughter of plastic surgeon Franklin Rose and wife Cindi for a snobby attitude and mannered ways, for wearing a tiara and for asking her fellow contestants to clean her room on the show, which airs at 8 p.m. Mondays on Channel 13. Last week, Rose reached pop-culture nirvana when Regis & Kelly co-host Kelly Ripa went on a tear about the "trash-tastic" series and its most controversial contestant. As Regis Philbin and a studio audience laughed, Ripa used a drawl and a tightened face to mimic Rose, calling her out for bad-mouthing contestant Jami Matske of Galveston because she has a tattoo and no college education. (Ripa, too, has a tattoo and no college degree.) "I wouldn't want to be a normal, average girl," Rose, an Emory grad, said in her own defense. "Being normal and average is, like, really, really boring. I've never been that way. I've always stood out." Rose says she did not see, but is aware of, the Regis episode. "In Ripa's case, I would give her an exception," she said. "She landed a soap opera, and that inhibited her from finishing college. The girls on the show could have gone to college but chose not to." At the popular entertainment blogging site TMZ.com, Rose is identified as the favorite Bachelor contestant. But in the same breath, she's called "the ditz princess." At other blog spots across the Internet, she's been called "clueless," "trashy," an "incredibly shallow, poor thing," a "nut job" and worse. "I have really thick skin," Rose said. "It's offensive, but I don't get offended." Support from friends Nicole Fertitta, who has known Rose for seven years, says the show offers a distorted view of her friend. Another friend, Stacy Soefer, said The Bachelor is going for entertainment value in its edit. "She's a very sweet girl, and they don't portray that on television," she said. "What people don't get is that TV is entertainment. A lot of what you see is over the top. Yes, Erica is privileged, but she's a smart girl and a hard worker. She's passionate, intelligent and a great friend." The Bachelor was shot in May in Rome, where bachelor Prince Lorenzo Borghese, a cosmetics heir, was born. During each pre-recorded episode, he offers roses to contestants who will move on to the next round. Fifteen were eliminated the first week and three in the second. Will Rose be eliminated tonight? She is under contract with ABC not to divulge any secrets. But here is what she has to say about what's happened on the show so far: •On wearing a tiara to her first meeting with Borghese: "I've always worn tiaras. I love going out wearing a tiara. It's like a part of my personality. It's like a watch to me." •On telling Borghese that she flew coach for the first time just to meet him: "I was really joking, and I giggled when I said it. I have an odd sense of humor. I've never flown coach to Europe or abroad. I have flown coach a few times around the country." •On whether she's offended at being compared to Paris Hilton: "Not at all. The difference between me and her, though, is I don't think she even finished high school. I'm not offended, but I wouldn't want to come across like I was wanting to be her because I'm not. We're both considered socialites and blonde, and that's where the similarities end." •On whether she says things without thinking: "All the time. I really was being myself. I wasn't trying to appeal to everyone. I wanted to be real, and I wanted Lorenzo to get to know me for who I really am. I am sort of a high-maintenance girl, and I have strong opinions and strong convictions about certain things, like tattoos and a college degree." •On whether Borghese appreciated that openness: "I don't think he necessarily liked that. He told me that he just wanted someone who was kind-hearted and fun. I was a little bit disappointed. I was hoping he would like someone who had a great college education or came from a similar background. But he didn't care about that." Was Rose smitten? "He's so handsome," she said. "He's even more handsome in person than on TV or in pictures. It's cool that he's a prince. Even though it's just a title and he isn't going to be a king one day, not many people have that title." Rose finds Borghese more appealing than previous bachelors on the reality show. "He's such a good dresser, and he was so nice," she said, "not a sleaze, like some bachelors have been, hooking up with adventuresome girls. "The more you were there, the more you fell in love." What's next for Rose? She's coming out with a line of tiaras, called T-Ericas.
i missed last week's episode but apparently Erica told the bachelor about losing her virginity at 16. i don't know if that should be relevant but i'm sure it put the guy off a bit.
