Brian Windhorst said on ESPN many people (players, execs) don't like the way Morey runs business. Could this hurt us in the long run?

Bosh considered coming here for millions less than the Heat. What about that makes Morey a bad GM?

Of course it does. Morey has lifted his skirts, given them one night stands and all they want, but they still won't commit. He's also burned bridges with coaches/players in the past...hardly a positive.

    Bosh "considered" in 2010 too.
    Melo "considered".
LeBron just laughed in our face and sent our representative packing without a meeting.

I like what LeBron did. He didn't give us stupid false hope.

Not saying it because of Bosh specifically but the age old question on why other players don't want to come to Houston makes me ask this.

Certainly didn't stop him from clearing the necessary space for Bosh. Other gm's knew they were helping create potentially the best starting lineup in the league, but they still helped us clear space

How many other teams in the NBA did Bosh consider going to?

Morey didn't create the best starting lineup in the NBA this year? FIRE MOREY!

    You guys are nuts.

I wasn't the biggest Morey fan in the world but over his time here he's won me over. The guy has done a fine job but it's just plain difficult to get 1 star player much less three. He's got two of three and is still busting his ass. Let the guy work and not panic over disappointment.

What exactly do you think that he does any different from any other team or GM?

    I think it's all BS.

People post without perspective under the impression that the NBA (or any other business) operates like NBA2k14.

3 years ago our best player was Kyle Lowry. We now have 2 top 10 players. We didn't have one losing season in between. If you think Morey is a bad GM, you're an idiot. It's that simple. He takes risks. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn't.

Stupid ass thread if there ever was one.

So you want to fire the guy that turned a team of a bunch of role players that couldn't get into the play-offs into a 54 win team that has the best players in the NBA at two different positions. And a team full of players that are not even in their prime.

Thank god you don't own the team.

Morey shouldn't be fired, I don't agree with the title (not yet at least), But the idea that holding him accountable is unspeakable really needs to be ditched.

Maybe someone can run off the list of people with better track records than Morey over the same period.

People seem to be holding him to the standard of getting over on everybody every time.

No actual human being has ever done that, unless they made one deal and then quit the business forever.

This guy got us the best shooting guard in the league along with the best Center. Therefore they are 2 of the best 10 players in the league. Before that we had Dragic and Jack Crap. Anyone who doesn't understand this guy is one of the best or the best in the league doesn't know basketball. Nothing has went the Rockets way this offseason, but it not from lack of effort.

What does the phrase "hold him accountable" even mean in this context? I'm not sure I understand. Is it said under the impression that Morey is not held accountable? If so, what proof does anyone have that he is not held accountable.

Can't fire Morey. But maybe Morey should fire McHale.

I know because that has seriously prevented him from:

    1. making the trades he needed to get under the cap in consecutive seasons
    2. luring the top free agent and best player at his position last season while getting him to take less money
    3. getting another GM to trade him an all star caliber player still in his youth.

The evidence is seriously against that theory.
