This Friday the Rockets will be playing the Spurs and I have a feeling right after the game posters will be making a thread mad that the Rockets passed up on him twice. How do I know this? The Rockets have in the last couple games have had trouble keeping guys off the boards. Dejuan Blair has been playing awesome the last 3 games. He had 28 points and 21 rebounds a couple games ago. Pops is beginning to give him 30 mins a game. Plus Blair destroyed Chuck Hayes in the preseason. Yes I'm still pissed we pass on him. I know he has no acls, but his college coach said it didn't hurt him while playing for Pitt. The Taylor is ok, but you had a chance to draft him again, but instead Morey picked a Pg when we have 2 good ones already. Blair is Charles Barkley Lite. Now when Tim Duncan retires when now have to worry about him.
In a sport where you jump up and run for than a couple of possesions? Yeah, Basketball is 20X more knee dependent than football.
Whaaat? You're attempting to compare apples to oranges. Here's the 2009 Draft: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_nba_draft How many teams passed on him other than the Rockets? The answer: practically everyone (only counting teams that didn't get a better player). Fail thread is fail.
Blair has done very well for the Spurs. Sadly they probably got a steal and a possible future replacement for Mr Duncan.
Our medical staff would not clear him to be drafted like many other teams did not clear him. San Antonio got the ok from their medical staff.
someone with actual knowledge please clarify this no ACL situation is it even possible to walk without ACL?
So basically we go into the draft WITHOUT any picks and get a very nice player in Buddinger and still people complain that Morey didn't do it right? Wow some fans are never happy
He looks like he is going to be a nice player but he doesn't really address our lack of size up front. I'm not sure how good he will be on offense once teams really start scouting him and he can't "sneak up" on them.
Should have drafted CDR as well, but I don't know if I would have drafted brooks and landry, so I guess he knows what he is doing.
