I like what we are doing on defense. it's gonna be epic every game, so I guess this is more what you see that you like on offense and want the team to do more of.

You have give it to Andre more, but you gotta say the 3 headed TE monster of Daniels, Graham, and Casey is something very efficient and I want to see more. Such a great disguise on the run, help masks pass as well. It seems we have had some success on having all 3 of the, out there. Just excited about the weapons. Graham is filling in that 3rd leg very well and Daniels and Casey just gives us so much!

I'm a little anxious to see what Lestar Jean can do. He has had nothing but success in pre-season and had that td against Denver. I love getting the ball to Casey, and, call me crazy, but I want to see Thor run the wildcat.

I was discussing this with a friend the other day. I can't think of another team other than maybe the Patriots when healthy that can pass 20-30 yards down field out of a 3 TE set. The Texans have already done this several times this year and it just amazes me the level of athleticism they have at the position. I mean 5 years ago if the Texans are putting up a 3 TE set 100% certain it's a running play and the TEs are in for the extra blocking. Fast forward to today and that set is a coin toss on pass or run.

Was worried when they didn't resign Dressen but Casey and Graham both seem to have stepped up their blocking. Daniels is still iffy but he makes up for it with his passing and synching with Schaub as always.

Hopefully, Casey will stay healthy this season, although they still play him as a FB, he is very much a great pass catching outlet.

There's always somebody out there that wants more 3TE sets. Always.

This offense is made for TE's. Casey has been solid thus far.

I like our formations, and how we pick apart defenses by moving people around.

Like how we will sometimes move KWalt in as a Hback.

This makes people play run but we can pass just as easily, because of our talent.

This works of course because we have some of the best blocking WRs in the league.

For instance, on the OD TD last week, Keshawn Martin was blocking his man all the way into the endzone which helped OD after he broke that first tackle be about to scoot right into the endzone.

Remember when we used to make fun of the Texans for always drafting TE's?

Who would have thought we could let Dressen go and still have 3 quality TE's on the roster, all of whom can block and catch.

Those 37 rush attempts per game is a telling stat. We get the lead and put out foot on people's necks and ground and pound.

That is why fumbles like Tate had are such a big deal.

Graham was a sneaky good pick. Groomed him for 2 years and was able to step in and provide some quality play. That was nice long term planning

It looks like our TEs have had a greater impact on our passing game than WRs.

Shhhhhh. TEs are their secret weapons.

People expect Johnson or Foster to blow up, but they won't know what hit them when Schaub connects with all the TEs

    ;) I kid. Nice thread.

We can do this and combine it with the bootleg and then the run, Andre Johnson is going to end up with 3486740812364 yards!!!

Not related to our TE's, but aside from the two fumbles in preseason. K. Martin is looking like late first round WR talent thus far in the season. Doing the little things right.

    In tigh end news today:

story 1. I heard from a source close to the team that kubiak has designed a new formation called the "M1 garand". It's like the shotgun but everyone is a TE or has played TE, Connor lines up in the backfield, watt takes on the shallow route.

story 2. Also, sources say there is some serious beef between the hoody and kubiak as to who is responsible for bringing multiple TE sets back.

story 3. Jacob Pedersen a future texan?

I really like the group we have. I miss Joel though. He was the best blocker and really good hands.

I love it. I see it similar to how teams disguise their defense...lining up everyone bluffing a blitz, only to have them fall back. You never know if they are going to blitz or fall back.

Makes it much harder to read it.
