Shaq and Zo will cancel each other out for the most part. I say guard play is the deciding factor.

    Heat in 6, maybe 7.

I really think that Mo Taylor will offset Brian Grant. Rider will have self-destructed by then, Mason will be in jail, so Anderson, Mobley, and Walt will have to take care of Jones and Majerle. Francis will break Carter's ankles the entire series (Hardaway will be injured). Cato and Dream will hold their own against Mourning.

    Rockets in 6.

I'm just assuming that they still have to play the season before the finals participants are decided.

Man, I would love to see that series. Only if Miami wins, though. Riley coming back to LA and kicking their butts? Over Jackass, no less? That would be too much.

Pimp, how do u figure Shaq and Zo would even each other out? I think Shaq would destroy Zo. Yeah Zo is a better defensively player, but even he cant guard Oneal. Oneal is alot better offensively and is not a bad defensive player himself.

because ZO would score 20 - 24 a game and shaq would score about 24 so thats that ...

Last season they played each other twice. Here are the results.

    Game 1
    Shaq 17pts(5-17) 11 rebs
    Zo 21pts(7-18) 9 rebs

    Game2
    Shaq 28pts(12-22) 12 rebs
    Zo 33pts(12-25) 13 rebs

Pretty even for both players. LA won both games, but the won't have Glen Rice to hit the outside shots and Miami now has Eddie Jones in the backcourt with Hardaway, not to mention a scrapper like Anthony "THUG" mason. The Lakers will have a tough time competing with the Heat this year.

    I like the Heat.....in 7.

But the center matchup is definitely the deciding factor here. Consistency will be the key for Zo. He must play well and keep a high level throughout, or the Heat could be doomed.

Zo's been running the floor a lot better these days. Especially when Van Gundy isn't hanging off his leg. [IMG]

If Shaq can't destroy Sabonis, how the heck would he destroy Zo? Out of any player in the league at this time, Mourning would give Shaq the toughest time, IMHO.

    Heat in 6.

As much as I hate to say... I still think LA will win because I just don't see a "Clutch" player in Miami. Zo has come a long way, but I don't think he is the player that will push them to the top in a close game. No one else in Miami comes even close. Shaq, IMHO is even with Zo in that area (because of his poor FT shooting). The difference comes from MJ2 (I've grown a bit more respect for his BBall skill since the finals), I think this guy is "Clutch" (not to MJ's extent), but he is can push your team to the top.

I hope I am wrong, there is nothing better (well ok, Rockets winning is better) than to see Jackass losing to a former LA coach. I used to dislike Riley, but I hate Jackass even more.
