You never know what those funny liberals will say next!! Stay classy, dems!! http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/10/obama-backing-s.html Obama-Backing Senator Makes Crack About McCain Wearing Adult Diapers October 20, 2008 2:59 PM At a business summit on energy, Politickerma.com reports, a prominent supporter of Sen. Barack Obama, D-Mass., made a crack about Sen. John McCain's age. "These are the exciting last two week moments of the presidential campaign," said Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., today in Cambridge, Mass. "So it's a very special time. I can't wait for it to be over. I am so tired of the press' silly questions that they ask along the way. And cable television which reduces everything to stupidity - the lowest common denominator of conflict." "I don't know if any of you know what it's like. I do, obviously," Kerry told the crowd. "I've been asked all of those brilliant questions that were repeated this year...Barack got asked the famous boxers or briefs question. I was tempted to say commando... "Then they asked McCain and McCain said, ‘Depends,'" Kerry said. -- jpt
When they asked John Kerry the boxers or briefs questions and he said "well, let me tell you the story about this because it is interesting and, I think, points to a real choice facing the American People that could have an impact on future generations, the environment, George Bush, congress and OPEC. First, you consider the ramifications of having support versus freedom - in any context, those two things are at odds, and we are at a proper vantage point to address the question when you first answer that questions. Will briefs make us free enough? Will boxers offer the security we need when we face 21st century challenges? The failed policies of this administration are manifest, and should be obvious to the most casual observer of...." snooze. no jokes kerry, please avoid microphones.
"Barack Obama said today that he is going to fight for votes in all 50 states. Yeah. That's what he said. Meanwhile, John McCain said he's going to fight for votes in all 13 colonies." --Conan O'Brien
Kerry should have probably just gone Karl Rove on him instead... trash his patriotism for being against the new GI Bill because it would hurt re-enlistments, call him a bigot for juxtaposing being a good man and not an Arab, and then call him a fraud for pretending his tax plan does a damn thing for the middle class. Now THAT would have been new thread worthy.
I guess Kerry has to do something to stay relevant. Gore has cornered the market on the environment already.
Actually Kerry is not the only one who said that joke. When ask that question McCain did respond with depends. Its an easy joke quick you are reaching for a reason to be upset.
If McCain wanted to run against Kerry, he should have run 4 years ago... but he was too busy considering whether to be Kerry's running mate.
