Eric Snow stole the ball from Kobe, setting up fast break, passed the ball to LeBron, who took off just inside the foul line, rose high above the net and delivered a massive one-handed posterization of Brian Cook. That's pretty much the pbp, I think.
I"m guessing it was another powerful tomahawk that had everyone on TNT raving and screaming about how Lebron is already the greatest basketball player to ever play the game.
Tonight's game prove one more time that Kobe indeed is the BEST player in the game now. When it comes to crunch time, Kobe is the only one.
i think there's also this guy, who went nuts for 13 points in the final 33 seconds of game against the eventual champions of that year. he also beat kobe's team this year with a last second shot. his name is ryan bowen. father of bruce and sensei to chuck norris.
Impressive leadership by Kobe. Hurt his wrist, let his teammates do their thing and then took over at the end. That last shot he hit was probably the most difficult shot in basketball. A right handed player, covered, spinning and moving to his left and nailing a jumper right inside the 3-point line with a hand in his face. Swish. I was hoping Lebron would answer, I wanted to see overtime it was a good game and good matchup.
That's just Kobe doing what Kobe does. He's done it far too many times in the past for us to be surprised. And that's the kind of thing LeBron's gonna have to learn to do to become a truly great player in this league. But still, the stats don't lie ... Kobe hogged the ball all night, only managing to get a couple of assists in the final quarter, while LeBron was busy setting up his teammates (9 assists for the game). The only reason he didn't manage to get more than 21 shots off was his wrist injury (that and the fine play of Lamar Odom). Phil Jackson should've gone to Cleveland, not Hollywood. I tell ya.
WTF? Is Kobe's jump shot that good or Lebron defense was that bad? Kobe made 3 clutch shot in a row with Lebron and Z all over his grill and he drilled them! Lebron had his chance to send the game into over time or win it, but he failed on all account. He has a long way to go to become a clutch player as well as his defense...impressive tamahawk jam though.
I don't like Lebron's dunks, I remember he won the high school dunk contest but he didn't really deserve it, the best thing about them is that he jumps really really high, Carter's in game dunks are still by far the best in the NBA.
The last shot was amazing. LeBron and Z were all over him, Kobe could barely see the basket and yet he still nailed it. Nothing but net. But I have to admit Kobe was ineffective most of the game. LeBron is an awesome player. But he needs improve his D and get a little bit creative on his dunk. I have no doubt that he will be the best player in the NBA someday.
thread title.. the dunk was nicer than his usual tomahawks. still a tomahawk. But he cocked this one waaayy back, making you think he might lose his balance, kinda like Kemp used to do sometimes
