Never before have I seen the Muslim community try to unite before... Al-Qaeda 'to avenge Israel deeds' http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/5220162.stm Al-Qaeda's deputy leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, has said in a video the militant network will respond to attacks on Muslims in Lebanon and Gaza. It seems the militants are coming together, oddly enough. I don't think Al Qaeda can actually do anything though. edit: by the way, I am sarcastic about the first comment. The Muslim community is not actually rallying around Hizbollah, Hamas, and Al Qaeda.
The muslim community supports hezbollah( Exclude saudi wahabis) who support Al-Qaeda along with other extremists scattered in Iraq and Afganistan ! it seems that al-zwahiri is just trying to jump on the badwagon as i don't see him able to do anything really in palestine and lebanon.
The background in his video looks nothing like a 'cave'...I think these guys are not living in a 'cave'.
I think the interesting thing about this war is that Israel's behavior mirrors the US' in Iraq so much that we can get a glimpse of what we might look like to outsiders. Obviously, there are appreciable differences between the 2 wars. But, the somewhat illogical connection between provocation and military response, and the effect of such a beatdown on the psyche of the victim seem to resonate between the two theatres. That Israel is an ally and a pocket of the West in the middle east muddies the waters a bit, but you can see a bit what others may see in Iraq.
Yup. If I remember correctly, didn't this latest round of violence begin after Hezbollah and Hamas captured some Israeli soldiers? Or was I dreaming?
Don't you know that when foreign fighters enter your country and kill and capture your countrymen that you are not supposed to respond at all? Duh. You are supposed to go give them a big hug and explain to them that peace is the answer. Then when they do it again, you give them a stern lecture on how its not nice to invade across the border and capture your soldiers. By the third time, you should be able to complain to the UN how foreign fighters keep entering your country and capturing your soldiers. That way some of the folks in the UN can start a meeting to discuss it, while others in the UN will tell you that if you didn't exist in the first place, none of this would happen. Don't you know anything?
nobody is suggesting anything of the kind. What some people are suggesting is what has a track record of success. That is a peace process. IT worked during the Oslo accords, and it worked after several wars with Egypt. No amount of heavy handed military bombings have brought peace. To some people it is more important to bomb the terrorists or whover else happens to be in the way than to really work for security and peace. I would like to see peace pursued and the destruction of the terrorists to continue as something seperate. The destruction of the terrorists would actually be easier if there was a peace process that Israel adhered to going on the whole time.
If Christians were as united as Muslims, the Methodist would be in a civil war with the Episcopalians.
As i said earlier, the isrealies fell for a very well and pre-orchastrated plan by hezbollah and there masters in iran! iran banked on the sympathy card to win other moslims supports. there not dumb enough to think they'll get other moslim goverments to come to hezbollah's rescue, but there banking on muslim fanatics to pour into lebonan and fight the zonist pigs!..
Dude, if you are going to post a plate full of bullsh*t, the least you could do is spell it correctly!
I am sure it's all Mullahs' fault that his misspelling spattered posts have become a distinctive eye-sore in CF.net (not just D&D).
