First I want to thank Morey for getting Artest. Some will say it was moneyball, some say it was common sense. I don't care because I feel like now this team is a real contender now and that's all that matters. Now the grunt work is done, I would like to see more alterations to this roster. Since the big move is done, some of those minor moves can be made to clean up the roster.

The Brooks era. Now that Artest is on the team, I hope the rox turn the keys over to the caddy to Brooks. I think he's the guy that can really hurt defenses with his penetration from the attention garnered by the big 3. There will be creases in the defense that he can exploit big time. He wouldn't have to worry about setting guys up as much and could really just ball. I doubt they trade rafer, but I would look to move him while he has some value. Barry could backup the pg spot as well as signing or trading for someone like Arroyo.

Head, Hayes, Francis and landry out. I appreciate the effort in the regular season from hayes and head. Francis was nostalgia and Landry is at a impass. Those guys like hayes and head may have trade value, francis might have some too, landry we can't do anything with. Morey maybe can get a 2nd rd pick for those guys or even package a couple together, but whatever the case, they should be gone. Landry's situation will drag out I think.

The "Pro's, Pro". Since we are in serious win now mode, I would like to see some desperate vets on this team. Especially along the front lines. That was the difference in the finals between bos v. la. As hard as they played, la's young players couldn't meet the sense of desperation from the big 3 and pj,posey, and house. So I look at a guy like Ratliff and even PJ brown as 4/5 backups to Yao and Scola with Dorsey and novak getting spot minutes. Theo and PJ can be had cheap, they're both good defenders and leaders in the locker room. Theo is a good shotblocker, while pj is the positional defender. Both can help the team dealing with Artest. Both are 6'10, 6'11 with great length. They could play 14mins behind Scola and 16 behind Yao and the team still maintain their size and defensive presense.

Of course there will be frowns and 2nd guessing about making more moves, but I think they would elevate even further toward being a champion.

Sweetest Lord, make me appreciative of the wondrous gifts you have bestowed upon me. Never permit me to disgrace myself with stupidity, unkindness, or impatience.

Signing Theo would be a good move if the rox decide not to bring back Mutumbo.

But it's way way way too premature to be handing the keys to anything to Brooks. If he can fight his way into the rotation and becomes the spark we need, then sure. But he isn't even that yet. He's not even a lock to be a good backup pg in the league yet.
