So in this thread I mentioned I wanted a special Hong Kong made chinese chef's knife that is only made available in a certain San Francisco china town store.

CHI emailed me and said he goes there all the time and would pick one up for me.

It may not look as good as the Shun knives but it is a slicer from hell. You can tell from the picture the metal has three different finishes from the dark top to a smoother center then sanded looking closer to the edge. This makes the knife able to be really thick at the top for weight and strength but then slowly be thin for killer slicing though any thing. The thinner the blade the less drag on it.

It has put both of the knives in the picture on the bench as it is my slicer and chef's knife now.
Such a sweet pickup. Huge thanks to CHI!

Really cheap. I don't remember exactly since I bought several different types. I think they were about 17-20 dollars for the one you have if I remember correctly. When I was there, they said that they would ship to the US if I needed anymore. I never needed any more since I personally have 2 and a Suien VC cleaver also.

I like the Suien cleavers but they are much more expensive. Do you have any contact I can also get the CCK cleaver?

I really want the 1101 and the 1302 also. If they can ship them thats a good deal for those.

Just go to there website and email them. I think that would be better because the guys that were there at the store didn't speak english real well. I don't know how much they charge to ship to the US though.

I bought it directly from Chan Chi Kee. They have a crappy little store front, a total dump. Their knives are thrown together in boxes behind the counter and they have restaurant supplies in front. I guess they won't ship any more or they offered to ship for me since I was buying such a large quantity of knives.
