A shame that Blake Griffins had a concussion.

That Willie Warren guy is exciting to watch though. I like his game.

As a Texas alum, that win means so much for our NCAA hopes.

I was at the game but dont regularly follow them. I was hoping this win was big enough to storm the court but i guess not.

Is this what abrams always does in the clutch, put on his own show and start shooting 3s. He was hot today so props to him. Damien James is pretty sick as well. Too bad OU lost griffin takes away from the win.

If Griffin hadn't been injured then storming the court would have been justified. I'm glad the fans stayed in their seats or else they would have looked like complete fools.

Storming the court would've been dumb. This win was not an upset.

And that seals the last team that will make it in from the Big 12.

I know everyone's saying that Pittman made contact with Griffin and gave him a concussion, but I swear on every replay, I don't see it. Griffin didn't make a reaction to it either when he was going for the shot. To me it looked like Pittman swiped and missed.

I think that pretty much guarantees it. As long as they don't lost out to Tech, Baylor, OSU and Kansas, they're in no matter what happens in the Big 12. Wins over OU, Wisconsin, UCLA, and Villanova should pretty much do it. A win @ Kansas would be a nice topper and guarantee a better seed. Right now, they're projected as an 8.

I was at the game. Had a blast screaming my ass off the whole time.

Not that expect Texas to make a deep run, but i hope they can at least climb to a 7 seed. 8 or 9 is murder having to play a 1 in the second round.

Who knows? He wasn't exactly playing that great before he got taken out, so maybe it was something already bothering him?

texas expects to be a top 20 team. That should mean you should never storm a court, cause they should have a chance to win every single home game.

nice finish by AJ..wish he wasn't so damn streaky as a scorer

whats crazy is if somehow they managed to win these last 4 games and a game or two in the big 12 tournament they would be really really high ranked possibly a 3 or even 2 seed if some other teams lose. those are a ton of ifs though.

IMO, I don't think they can expect anything higher than a 4 or 5 seed. They might have to win out and win the Big 12 tourney, beating OU and Kansas again to have a chance to get a seed that high.

Lunardi currently has them projected as a 6 seed

Agreed. I think I'd see their ceiling as a 4 or so if they were to run the table and then win the big 12 tourney. I could be wrong, but the Big 12 just doesn't have that star power that the ACC and Big East have this year. Conversely, it's probably better than the SEC and Big 10.

    From the Austin American Statesman:

Balbay collision cited for Griffin’s injury

By Mark Rosner | Monday, February 23, 2009, 04:08 PM

"When Oklahoma star Blake Griffin left Saturday’s game against the Horns with a concussion, no one was exactly sure when he sustained the injury. ESPN’s replays kept focusing on a light swat across the nose administered by Longhorn bigman Dexter Pittman, but UT officials said Monday that Griffin’s injury actually happened when he and Texas guard Dogus Balbay collided on a screen.

"'Dogus’ man set a screen,' Texas coach Rick Barnes said. 'Dogus stepped out to help. His arms were up and Blake spun. He hit Blake’s ear. The play they showed on TV, about Dexter, happened right prior to that . When you watch the camera, you can see his head go back. He instinctively continued to play for a while.'

"That was news to Balbay on Monday. 'I didn’t know anything about it,' Balbay said. 'I’m really sorry.'”
