well they got one. was it just me or watching that live did it look like OU just stopped on the play and wasn't even trying to tackle.
Texas Tech is making some dumb plays, but hey they are only down by 3 so dont count us out yet, and look at my sig......
Man Smokey I thought Touch Me Feel Me was gonna be good or something, but it's all slow. Nice flow to it, but I was hoping for another Sandstorm. Oh and TTech can't do anything against this D.
You know, I'd LOOOVE for Texas to play for the roses... and I like Texas 2nd best out of all the schools in the nation... ...but if they'd taken care of business back in October, this wouldn't be an issue. Never rely on a Sand Aggie to do a Longhorn's job, or something like that?
Texas Tech has a worse offensive coordinator than Greg Davis. I have never seen a team go back in shotgun and throw more 1-3 yard passes than Tech did today. I know throwing downfield can be risky against the OU defense, but come on. It was obvious the defense was tiring. It was also obvious that throwing little 1 yard passes would do nothing but get three and outs. No excuse for not at least trying to throw some balls down the field. Now we need losses from Miami and Florida both...
Yeah I have "Feel the Beat" (good song) but thanks for reminding me about "Out of Control." I heard that one time but never got around to getting it. I'll get Calm also.
I just got home from Lubbock about 30 minutes ago. It didn't look any better live. I don't think the score tells the whole story -- all Tech had to do was quit hitting the QB or punter after they got rid of the ball. The defense played very well, I thought--at least up until some time in the forth quarter. But I suppose you can expect the defense to give up some points in the forth when the offense can't seem to stay on the field for much more than three plays at a time.
I was running the game for the radio network and I didn't have a TV in the studio, but my parents were up here this weekend and they went to the game. My dad said that OU was getting away with many holding penalties and that the roughing the punter call should have been the 5 yard running into the punter penalty. But even if you take out some of those officiating questions the fact that Leach fails to "go vertical" hurts this type of offense. Also, two other things I have observed through these 2 years with Leach is 1-- the spacing of the offensive lineman where they are spread from each other. 2-- a lot of times it seems like the shotgun snaps are being floated to Kliff. That gives the defensive lineman an extra second or 2 to get to the QB. What was pathetic was that the Tech G-men took down the goalposts 5 minutes after the game ended. There was no threat of them being ripped down. Yet they folded them over and took the uprights down. The OU crowd cheered when they were taken down. That was completely stupid by Tech. I mean how reactionary is this school. Hopefully Tech can get to the Alamo Bowl, and avoid a return trip to Houston. Rob
I don't know... the prettiest girl at my high school, Victoria Kohler, went to Texas A&M. Based on my experience I'd have to disagree. Now, Southwest Texas State? OK, I could maybe see that argument.
