Why wait to start the bomb throwing. Apparently students were allowed to buy tickets this morning and the line is wrapped all the way around Hofheinz Pavillion... something that hasn't happened since the last Cotton Bowl. Say what you want about UH, but having the Cougars be relevant again is good for Houston. Case Keenum is actually creeping up into Heisman talk territory... and is looking to set the NCAA record for yards at 6,000 this year. But the question on everyone's mind is, when will Fatty get a moustache ride from Taylor Potts?
Tried to get tickets this morning...was in line at 7:00, and left at 8:30 without tickets, they sold out in like 20 minutes. The tickets were being sold at the alumni center and I was in line near the halfway point, on the steps where Hoffheinz leads down to the alumni center. I've never seen anything like that during my time at UH (undergrad and now law student).
Is Houston ever going to get serious about making stadium improvements? What does Robertson Stadium hold? 30,000? Needs to be at least 50K.
This thread is win! lol at Houston jumping three spots in the AP and didn't even play last weekend. Go Coogs!
Yeah they might have a chance, just need the other team to have a letdown. U of H hasn't demonstrated yet that they can beat a quality team. I mean, they only beat teams like Rice and other C-USA teams, not a quality Big 12 team like Texas Tech. Spoiler Are you serious DD? UH has a chance whether there is a letdown or not. This should be a good competitive game. There's no reason to think UH can't compete with Tech.
don't you know everything revolves around UT UH has a shot with or without a Tech loss to UT. They will probably have a let down game at some point this season...but they have the talent to run the table.
This game is going to be like an arena football game. I don't think either team should even bother dressing their punters because they're just going to be sitting on their asses for 5 hours. That is unless they are also holders for all the PAT's that will be happening. That being said, I gotta pull for the home team. Go Coogs. Will this game be on TV?
UH went into the the (then) #5 team in the country's stadium and beat them... i'd say UH has more than a "chance" at beating tech at home, and it would have nothing to do with tech having a "let down" game i mean, c'mon...
They beat Oklahoma State who isn't too shabby. Some of the experts are had been comparing them to the Texas Tech of last season.
Pretty sure he was being sarcastic. For the record, I think Tech is better than advertised and UH is going to have a harder fight than what they had against OSU. I have to think the only way UH wins this by more than a touchdown is if Tech really isn't taking them seriously.
Darn it! I was wanting to go to this game. When I was a student there, the tickets were like $3 for guests and free for students...I heard that the tickets are $20 now. How times have changed.
