Just wondering if anyone here is going to be at Bobcat Stadium tomorrow for the Cats playoff game against Ga. Southern.....I'll be there. It's going to be loud and rowdy, it's going to be awesome. :D

Still debating. Most likely staying here, but I've been known to decide to attend games a much shorter notice. :)

Nobody's going. Everyone knows that SWT people are UT fans that couldn't get in.

BTW... Have you ever gone to a UT viewing party and asked who there actually graduated from UT???? You'd be surprised.

This is funny.....I think most people went to SWT for the same reason I did....more girls...

I turned down a scholarship to Rice to pay my way at SWT....and then went to UT grad school.....

I find it funny that people think SWT is a school of dummies......

SWT was simply a FUN school, and people that understand that where you go to college is not all that important, realize that.

MORE GIRLS = MORE FUN !!

And College is about fun, and growing up.......

You obviously never looked at Tech.

I went there for the same reason. Ohhhh.... that, and it was a much better school than SWT.

Well, aren't you just so superior...

The notion that people who go to small schools aren't as smart as people who go to big schools is so 1985. How about some people actually being practical with their money. Or better yet, kids that pay for their own tuition (instead of Mommy and Daddy paying) and don't want to be paying back student loans for the rest of their lives.

I got a partial music scholarship to UT and a full music scholarship to Sam Houston. Since Mommy and Daddy wanted me to pay my own way (which I later thanked them for) the choice was easy. BTW, Texas Tech wanted me to audition but I couldn't picture myself actually living in Lubbock. :p

Go Southwest Texas State! ;) Represent the Southland Conference well like we did last year and will again next year.

    Sleep it off, Fatty...

    Let's see.......

Mommy and Daddy wanted you to pay your own way..... so you went with the full scholorship, rather than the partial one to a superior school.

No offense, Ima, but your folks wanted to screw you, and chances were that had you chosen UT, they would've told you the money for your college was gone.

Exactly why did you thank them for this?

To the rest of your nonsense, que sera sera. I went to Tech. I enjoyed the hell out of it. And I'm sick and tired of seeing sportsbars filled with burnt orange when only 1/5 actually graduated.

But then, I guess Houston has always been filled with bandwaggoners, eh? Sour grapes, my man.

hey fatty, you do know that texas state is a MUCH more difficult school to get into than tech right???? it's the third toughest public school in the state, only texas and texas a&m are ahead of it, and texas state is actually getting closer to a&m because texas state is growing so fast it having to turn down a lot of kids applying. it's not an easy school, and it's a more respected academic establishment that tech.

The only people I've ever gotten **** for when rooting for UT despite going to SWT were non-UT fans on this board. Poooooooor non-UT fans.

103-27. That's the combined score of UT v. the babies in this thread's schools.

The meltdown surely has been fun to watch. I'm so glad there's at least a month-plus of it. Then, there's the #2 ranked basketball team and everyone loves June in North Austin, er, Omaha.

I'm predicting a banning. One of these two will go completely off their rocker before it's all said and done.

    11-0

Can't you just sense the anger as he vindictively pounds away at his keyboard? This is highly amusing.

RM95's angry outburst aside, Texas State has a very strong quarterback in Barrick Nealy who will likely be drafted in the upcoming NFL draft. He's got great size (6'5" 230), mobility and a strong arm. He is in the Daunte Culpepper mold. UH is probably still stinging from losing him. True Texas State fans that actually claim their school as their favorite would be well served to head out and watch him play.

Angry? That's hilarious. A day removed from UT beating A&M and on the same day that my alma mater is playing in their first playoff game in I-AA? All that with my beautiful wife just making me delicious pancakes and DMB playing on HD in the background? Where's KingCheetah with his unlikely pic? It's never been more appropriate. :D

Go 'Cats and go 'Horns! And don't forget my other alma mater going for their 12th straight win this afternoon at Rice stadium. Go Tigers!

i'm heading out in a little bit to the game....go cats!!!!

and barrick nealy will definitely see an oportunity to play on sundays, he's a much better passer than people give him credit for. he has a very good arm but the best thing about his passing ability is making good decisions. he's only thrown 5 picks this year and throws the ball away if no one is open and he somehow can't break off a 15-20 yard run. one of the top 5 players in div. 1-AA, and easily the biggest playmaker in country at the 1-AA level.

If I am not mistaken Texas State is the 4th largest university in Texas.

I think that only UT, A&M, and UH are bigger.....
