I just finished watching ESPN inside huddle with John Clayton and the first topic he mentioned was the Texans wanting Bush. He stated that they WILL draft Bush if they have the first pick AND keep Domanick Davis as a change of pace back. I don't know how legit his sources are and I know this is nothing new but thought it was interesting. I don't know if anyone else caught it but he was reasoning why the Texans are going to do what "he thinks" they are going to do such as open the play action for Carr etc etc...
I saw that too. I think they are just saying it as a common sense type thing. If you have the number one pick and you don't have LT, Shaun Alexander, or maybe Larry Johnson, you are taking Bush. There are only 3 sure things in this world: death, taxes, and drafting R. Bush.
If the Texans win this Sunday, it may just rank up there with the Oilers Bills chokejob. They cannot win this game. So many options can be explored this time with the No. 1 pick.
I don't shy away....sometimes I am wrong...thunder Dan Langhi comes to mind....but more often than not....I am right. DD
Agreed - If the Texans win, Houston will again be the laughing stock of the sports world. 1) Buffalo game 2) Astros world series 3) Phi Slamma Jamma vs. NC State 4) Naming the football team the Texans and so on............
I would discount #2. That's our 1st World Series. Just getting there was the greatest accomplishment in Astros history. But it would of been nice to have this: White Sox title is AP News of the Year
yeah, if only his coach believed in him..... 1:16 to go, first down on your own 25 with all 3 timeouts and you take a KNEE? Unexcusable....and the mark of a coach that will NOT be moving up to 1A anythime soon. DD
I would bench Carr, Johnson, and Wells so we can lose this game with ease. Start Ragone and Morency and bring on Reggie.
what the **** is wrong with everyone? there's this little thing called an entire offensive line we need to replace and you clamor for bush?? thank God we'll be able to run the ball while carr's getting sacked all game long
Our offensive line has improved as the season has played out. Obviously, it still needs help, but I don't think we need to replace everyone. Pitts and Hodgedon looked promising. McKinney needs to go, for cap space. Weigert was playing out of position. At the very least, we need a LG and RT.
I don't see where anyone in this thread said we weren't going to address our O-line. We just aren't going to do it with the #1 overall pick in the draft.
