The New Orleans Saints were : Won 3, Lost 13 and they had their city destroyed. have the #2 pick in the draft The Houston Texans were: Won 2, Lost 14 have the #1 pick in the draft Both teams: got new coaches in 2006 New Orleans: chose to sign a new QB Texans: chose to extend a contract to their existing QB ----------------------------------------------- 2006 Texans: Last in division New Orleans: first in division ----------------------------------------------- question: which team made their managment decisions on burboun street?
Clearly, whenever you change QBs, your team immediately becomes better. I say we sign a new QB every year.
Who dat think they gonna beat them Texans? Who dat? Who dat? Geaux Texans! Fyi, yes they had a great offseason but dat there Saint team was no 3 win team. They dun get hit by a storm and dat mess everything up cuz. I be thinkin even with Aaron Brooks dem saints find a way to get 6 wins if it wernt for dat der storm.
Note to Texans management: Saints management decided to depart with Aaron Brooks cause he can't even throw beads straight on mardi gras. Note to Texans management: Saints get TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL great Drew Brees to play QB for them.
i'm comparing and contrasting similar situations and the choices that were made. evaluating the results. le bon temps ne roule pas
tinman, should UT alums who went to Westlake high school in Austin now root for Purdue over UT since UT would not recruit Brees?
The Breese signing was huge and Bush has had some good games now but DEFENSE is another big factor that you fail to acknowledge Tinman. Our total defense is the FIFTH WORST in the NFL and the Saints are the 12th best right after Dallas. Link for Stat
The managment did a lot more than just bring in Reggie Bush and Drew Brees. They have a lot better running game with McCallister then we have here, which everyone knows is huge..They basically redid their half of their lineup from last year. There wasn't just 2 changes in players that all of a sudden brought them together.
I bought NFL apparel this year for the first time since I was in middle school and begged my parents for Oilers stuff. I bought a Titans VY jersey and a Saints cap. Texans can share that revenue.
