I was hoping Slowik left this summer and we could replace him for a better OC. Too bad it didn't happen.
That's interesting because whenever I watch the Texans I see CJ going off script and improvising to find Nico Collins. That's pretty much our only reliable offense for big plays. I don't see guys getting schemed open or many easy throws at all. Check the amount of easy throws Darnold has where everything is on script and compare to CJ. Slowik is not good.
Slowik is extremely overrated. Its been a year now. Figure out first down. If running doesn't work, try something different.
Last year there were plenty of receivers that were schemed open. This year defenses have figured Slowik out and he has no answers.
He just doesn't seem to be making the best out of talent he has available. If the running plays are not working stop repeating them. Try a new scheme. The OL talent issue is another problem to solve.
