    Texans to sell tickets Saturday

    By JOSEPH DUARTE
    Copyright 2002 Houston Chronicle

A limited number of single-game tickets for the Texans' inaugural football season will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Tickets for all 10 home games, including two preseason and eight regular-season games, will be available at all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 713-629-3700 or by Internet at www.ticketmaster.com

A limit of eight tickets per person will be placed on each game, except for the regular-season opener against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 8, which will have a limit of four tickets per person.

All Ticketmaster locations in the Houston area will begin distributing line-stubs at 9 a.m. Saturday. Drawings will be held at each of the locations at about 9:30 a.m. to determine the random start line for ticket purchases.

You must be 12 or older to be eligible to receive a line-stub, and there is a limit of one per customer.

I heard yesterday that the Texans are going to have a practice before the season ticket holders in Reliant Stadium...sort of an orientation to your seats and the new stadium...and a chance to see the team.

What a first class organization. Can you guys imagine Bud doing this?? I don't know how many of you were Oiler season ticket holders...but these kinds of things just didn't happen with that guy.

This morning, I purdchased a ticket for the Bills games and the Bengals game for $15.00 per ticket end zone seats + $9.63 per ticket (for Ticketmaster and handling charges). I was shocked that there were $15.00 seats available. I think that's a steal for an NFL game!

It looks like the Cowboys game is sold out via Ticketmaster. However, there is a scalper online willing to sell tickets for these same seats at $220 / ticket. No thanks!! At that price, I 'll watch it on ESPN, thank you very much!!
