Just saw this on the Raiders message board...

    Here's the Chron Article. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/fb/texansfront/5201423.html

But yeah, all you need to know about this guy is you can't pronounce his name and he was good enough in TC/Preseason to make the roster with Lamont Jordan, Dominic Rhodes, Justin Fargas and Michael Bush already on the team. We had to release him this week because of injuries and it was obvious there were a lot of teams looking at him.

Could be a diamond in the rough should Ahman Green continue to struggle with injuries.

What type of running style, moes? Is he fast, strong? Is he capable of breaking tackles? I've missed a RB that could break tackles ever since Dominic Davis/Williams got injured and was cut.

Got an article on him right here - http://www.realfootball365.com/nfl/articles/19117.html

He runs hard between the tackles and has a nice little burst of speed when he hits the outside.

Well, certainly can't hurt to try someone else. I get tired of hearing Dayne referred to as a power back. He never was in college and he isn't now. He doesn't run through tackles. He wants to get to the outside, though he doesn't have enough speed to do it. Maybe Adimchiobe Echemandu will be a nice surprise addition to this season, along with Andre Davis.

Can he throw a 3rd-and-8 for more than 2.5 yards?

Oh wait, I forgot it's not 2006 anymore. My bad.

Any RB with a burst or good speed is more than welcomed right now.

Well I did some reading on this guy and I wouldn't be looking for this guy to save the running game. It would take a heck of a lot more than just Green struggling for this guy to start.

Actually this seems more like he's replacing some of the special teams guys that are now on the roster, than him replacing Gado or Dayne. That might be his best shot in making the roster. As a return man.

One thing interesting thing about him is... Not only is he a RB, but he has played some WR in his college career. Not much but enough that you know he can do it. But my guess is he's a special teams guy.

I think he's here more to give the defense a different look in practice, and to help keep us from needing Ahman to practice too much.

Let's face it, Green and Dayne are both older and shouldn't be worn out too much in practice (even though Dayne is looking pretty useless these days). That leaves Gado and Darius Walker for the defense to get looks at, so we could probably use someone else. Although I could see him getting a shot if Gado doesn't start showing something...I still think Dayne is safe for now.
