If the Texans keep Kubiak and bring in Phillips as DC, which is what appears to be happening, what do you plan on doing with your season tickets next year?

I ask this because I'm not planning on renewing my tickets next season. Until this team proves to me they can they are putting 100% effort into bringing the best management and players to this team I'm officially out.

A few things I want to add. I'm a season ticket holder, but not a PSL holder. If I already spent $1000 on psl's I wouldn't want to throw that money away so I would probably renew next season. Bob McNair was a smart man. PSL's are a way to keep people buying season tickets even if they do want out.

I believe this was done before for Vince Young. 10 season tickets holders did not renew for that reason.

I really really really don't walk away. But he's got me so close. I know for sure, I'm not purchasing anything with their logo on it until they prove to me it isn't 90% business, 10% winning.

Yep. I'll still probably follow the team, but I really won't care when they fail again. And I'm not going to bother spending any money on them. No merch, no tickets.

I survived iso-ball, Carr and Uncle "D" post 2005...I can survive Kubiak but just like those time frames, I'll be rooting from a far.

Coach's get too much blame. Gary is a good coach, he isn't the one throwing game ending interceptions or falling down trying to cover wideouts, or blowing tackles, or not getting to the quarterback. Its all on the players, and if their all still fighting to keep their coach they seem to love so much, where do you think the problem lies? It's sad some of you people will bail on the Texans just because they are losing, but it just makes it so much sweeter for those of us who fully stuck around when the going got tough. Saying that, it would be nice to bring in Gruden or Cowher just for namesake. Hell they would be good for the Texan's defense which is just horrendous, but so is the patriots defense. At the end of the day its ALL on the PLAYERS. Tom Brady is 13-2 because he is the MVP. Its not Bill Belichek who goes for it on 4th and 1 on his own 30 yard line. Its the players.

I didn't vote because im not a season ticket holder. But im done going to Texans games, every season I try going at least twice.

Question to season ticket holders, why on earth would you continue supporting such an inept organization?

Kubiak has had 5 years to get the coaches and players here that wouldn't make those mistakes anymore. That's more then enough time. It's all on Kubiak, but mostly now it's on McNair.

Except it's the coach (and the GM) that drafts and plays Tom Brady. It's the coach that decides whether to go for it on 4th and 1. And it's the coach that picks the play to run on 4th and 1.

So yes, if you don't believe that game strategy, playcalling, and who the players are don't matter, then it's true that it's on the players. Most people don't believe that though.

Its kubiak fault, not sending run plays against the Colts in the second game, after Foster started great that game, and rushed for 200+ in the first.
And its the coach fault the clock management and stuff.

Kubiak didnt have any time management problems this year. Schaub has to be held accountable for his poor accuracy this year or The many drops by our wide outs. Players can make plays. Pollard can't cover, kareem can't stay on his two feet. Glover can't turn his head or stay behind a wideout and Jason Allen came in too late. Mario's never healthy, Cushing isn't the same without the juice and Demeco got injured. It's all on the players. Heck our run defense was actually pretty good this year.

Bum Phillips says so and he won't get fired after this season. Why do you think the players are so far up Kubiaks ass. Because he is a good coach.

Damn dude, if that's your line of thinking, then no coach should get fired, EVER!

Bum's comment were meant for PR, nothing more.

Whether players like a coach or not is largely irrelevant. Just because players like a guy doesn't make him a good coach. Plenty of ****ty, underachieving coaches were liked by their players.

Gary is a good guy, everybody says so. If I knew him personally, I'm sure I'd like him too. And if I were a player and had a personal relationship with him, I might not want to see him get fired and feel sad if he did. But none of that has anything to do with whether he's a good head coach or not. You can't mix personal feelings with business and expect to be successful.

Give me the hard ass coach that the players don't like (but still respect) that knows how to win over the nice, friendly coach who everybody loves but is nothing more than mediocre.
