I'll find my way. ambitious for an undrafted rookie that knew nothing about anything. but that's exactly what I did. this ride has had a multitude of ups and downs, but perspective is key. I've got 7 years of beautiful memories with teammates, staff and coaches I'll never forget. thank you all for being a part of this journey. people that I call friends and brothers have all contributed to the success of what we did on the field, and also to the person that I am off. with everything in me, I love and respect the men and women you are. you are a part of me for good. and to the city of houston, I genuinely appreciate every ounce of love I've ever gotten. from seeing a small kid to an 80 year old man wear my jersey. I never took it for granted. we're all just guessing our way through life, being the best people we can, and the people of this city have put a lot of joy in the hearts of my self and my family. onward we march, it's been real. nothing but love on this end.

A photo posted by feeno (@arianfoster) on Mar 3, 2016 at 10:14am PST

Expected... cue the bashing of the franchise anyways, along with the ignorant posts about how the Texans "wasted" Arian Foster's career...
not expected this early. had the ability to hold through training camp and release late after seeing how draft and free agency went... - looks like they may have done this for arian so he could best determine landing spot. classy, but stupid.
Not a fan. Wish we could have restructured him. At least held onto him longer. Rick Smith needs to stop talking to the media. He makes himself look even more silly.
Had a great run, 2nd greatest RB the city has seen. Buisiness first, really the only logical move to make. I hope he can still find some success, but 30 year old RB's coming off major surgery aren't great bets to say the least.
If it was going to happen this is the time to do it. So not totally surprised, but I was starting to think that they'd hold on to him.
Even if healthy (which is a huge if), he carries a cap figure that just doesn't make sense at this point in his career.... I guarantee you there will be healthier/more productive/in-prime players that also get cut due to their cap figures.
He said they wouldn't cut him due to his injury... and they didn't. They cut him because he makes too much money for a 30 year old RB that has shown diminishing returns when healthy.
other releases better start coming quick.. Im sad they let him go- but hope we go after Doug Martin or Lamar Miller: looks like the Texans decided to do their cuts today
