The Rams gave up a mere 46 sacks this season, compared to the Texans 68. I know Pace was out for a bit, and Martz's offense that calls for 7 step drops, but still they were 6th worst. Hopefully he, Kubiak, and Calhoun will work well together so our pass protection resembles Denver's rather than St. Louis'.
I doubt he gets the head O-Line job. I am pretty sure if Sherman wants the job, he will get the job and Benton will be assistant O-line coach.
It seems that this is most likely an assistant o-line position. They did mention in the Chron the other day that Kubiak would hire a few more asst position coaches.
