was the 3 for Glover? If so, I'm happier letting him go and signing a replacement..as long as someone of at least league average is signed

This picks are from last years free agency. The 3rd will be for losing Mario.

This may be a dumb question but where do these picks come from? Does another team forfeit their picks?

I believe they are sandwich picks. They just get added and everyone else essentially drops a spot.

    Getting a third is nice.

They are usually supplemental picks at the end of the round.

The picks are awarded out, added on to the end of rounds 3-7. Teams don't forfeit these picks.

    Houston will have the 3rd round-33rd selection-95th overall & 6th round-33rd selection-201st overall

got it, thx. Didn't see how a 3rd could possibly be Glover, so makes sense (also now that I think ab it, FA isn't over yet this year...so yeah, stupid on me)

At the same time, you wonder if them knowing they'd have a 3 coming in (at least) for Mario made them a lot more ok losing Quin..

I think signing Donnie Jones and Bradie James playing so much kept them from getting two more.

Because these picks aren't directly and fully attributable to specific players like they are in baseball, it's harder to judge. But I'd imagine the FO takes this into account when allowing guys to leave a lot more than we do

This is great, we have two thirds and two 6's. With such a deep defensive draft, the trade up possibilities are endless. Make it count Rick ILB, DT, WR, S. Don't F*** it up

The comp picks themselves can't be traded, fyi.

And given how many holes we've got, I'd hope they at least pick five times in the first 4 rounds. I don't care a ton if they treat the final three non-comp picks like funny money. Too many holes to get bold and throw multiple picks at a team in order to move up in the first round.

They signed for the veteran minimum which does not get taken into account when deciding compensatory picks. I think guys that left not getting as much playing time or production is what really hurt us.

    And I know some fans were expecting 4 picks. A 3rd, a 5th, and 2 6ths.
