It is on Channel 11 at Noon Bengals - 96 Texans - negative three The Bengals are for real this year and have one of the best coaches in the NFL. The Texans absolutely stink this year and have one of the worst coaches in the NFL. This one will be a blowout. And now, speaking of blowouts, it's storytime! YAY!! In 1972 or 73, during the 1-13 "Bill Peterson" days, my brother and I plus two of our friends went to see the Bengals play the Oilers in the Astrodome. By brother was 13 and I was 11. Our seats were in the purple section, three sections up. The halftime score was Bengals 38, Oilers 3. The final score was Bengals 64, Oilers 20. During the 3rd quarter, things were so down for the Oilers that we started tearing out pages of the game program, making them into paper airplanes, and sailing them off the purple section deck to the field boxes below. After a few airplanes, an old man came up to us and said "boys, would you quit doing that! Some of us are trying to enjoy the game". My brother turned to him and said "So, Mister, what part of Cincinnati do you come from?"
I've got Cincy beating the Texans on my Elimination Football pool. If the Texans win, it will be well worth the 10 bucks. I'll still be rooting for the Texans, but if they lose it won't hurt as bad. Bengals 32 Texans 13
We're going to get our asses handed, but I want to see if there is a difference in this crappy offense. Hopefully Pendry opens some better routes for the WRs and spreads that OL so Carr has time to throw out of the pocket. Bengals 35 Texans 17
Pendry said that Carr won't be calling any audibles. He'll come in the game with a list of plays and run them. It's all about execution. At least in the early stages of his strategy. In this game, I'm more concern if we can keep them from scoring, because we sure as hell couldn't keep up with them points-wise.
Chad said in the paper that Buchanon is a Champ Bailey type of player. A corner you can just put out there on an island and he can hold his own. I don't know what Chad has been watching, but I sure hope we have Dunta on him.
After he gets beat, he usually looks like he's all alone on a deserted island because the receiver has left him.
Ya I honestly think that the only reason he said that was so the Texans might reconsider puting Philip on Chad, thus letting him go throughout the game virtually uncovered.
Texans will come out poised, rested and with a new gamplan. They will look good, will run the ball better, but the Bengals are just too tough. DD will have a good day, but Bengals 42 Texans 17 Carr - 3 picks
Good one! And I think I was there as a kid for that one! My family and I were sitting in the middle tier (where you couldn't see the above or below too well), but I remember laughing my head off as all these blobs of beer came raining down past our tier, and imagining the torment the poor folks at the bottom levels were enduring.
This is gonna sound strange... but... I want the Texans to become a championship quality team. That said, I would really love it if the Bengals would whoop the livin' bujeezus out of us. Like 64 to 0 or something. Only through such extreme situations will we invoke the extreme change needed to get us to the next level.
