According to John McClain -> http://twitter.com/McClain_on_NFL - Texans have reached a five-year deal with RB Arian Foster. - Details still being worked out. Major coup for Texans. Now they don't have to franchise him.
I'm not very familiar with NFL salary cap rules. Does this enable the Texans to franchise Williams now?
Sure... but they probably wouldn't want to. Then again, with the cap increasing next year, franchising him may not be as bad as it seems... sort of like what the Saints did with Brees.
Great to see! If we had to pick between Arian and Mario, definitely made the right choice. Now let's find a way to keep the OL intact and maybe find a way to keep Mario, too.
Our priority should be our O-Line. If we made such a big investment on Foster why wouldn't we pour our money into the run system?
Arian is the Jeremy Lin that we didn't lose. Can you imagine how sick we would be if we had let him slip through our fingers?
