Or are you pissed we won?

Personally, I'm happy as ****. 0-10 vs. the Colts would be unbearable. If we drop 4 or 5 slots in the draft, so be it. Look at the great picks we made last year in rounds 2-6.

And for all you Carr haters, I really think the decision on him is already made, so quit whinning. It was made during the 2nd half against the Raiders. Besides, Dayne won the game today, not Carr.

So, if you're really a Texan fan, relax and enjoy our first win against the Colts EVER.

I'm very happy. This team needs to know the feeling of beating an elite team. Give them some confidence. At least to the guys that know they are going to be here next year. Makes them fight for something instead of laying on their backs each game.

Any, and I mean Any good Houston Sports news is welcome at this point. Absolutely, for the first time this year the Texans looked like a professional football team. Dayne is a keeper.

Careful there. We are talking about the Colts rush defense here. Dayne is an okay back, but he's shouldn't be our full-time back going into next year.

This is a terrible win it gives McNair false hope about the team and particularly Carr. This win will prevent McNair from making the necessary change at QB.

    Actually I enjoyed the win.

Carr is still gone, but the franchise saved some face.

We'll have a great draft I'm certain either way.

I agree....for better or worse, this win (plus the likely win vs. the Browns next week) will keep Carr around next year. The Colts are a shell of their team the last few years, yet this will be the definitive win for 2006.

It's cool that they won, but it really doesn't mean anything but a worse draft pick at this point.

Good players will be available thoughout the draft. No need to Tank. Loosing is a disease. It's contagious. And the best way to cure it is to win!!!

    Tanking is for PU$$IE$$!!!!

I absolutely loved it! It was a great game and should be a building block for next year that is more important that the slot you draft.

Kubiak has now improved by at least three games on the atrocity that was last year. He has done what Capers never could and beat the Colts. We've kept our dominance of the Jags. Could get our sixth win next week. Established ol' Ronny Dayne as an acceptable back and proven the adage that anyone can run behind zone blocking.

Another draft even in the neighborhood of last year's and we should be getting out of the cellar. I still think we are another full season away from the playoffs, but I really see improvement.

    GO TEXANS!

I loved the win. I am thrilled that Kubiak doesn't have the team packing it in. Play the games now and worry about the draft later.

    Re: CARR
If we can run the ball and control the clock like we did today then MAYBE Carr can be a solid QB. He only thew 20 somethin' passes and alot of it was made possible by the run. He didn't make any mistakes and that really helped. If that's ALL he NEEDED to do then yeah, he could be our QB.

BUT, this was the Colts and we'r NOT going to be able to run and control the tempo like this against most of the league. So this means we would still need Carr to do things things he hasn't proven he can do yet.

I REALLY don't think Carr having one decent Dilfer-esque game in his last 8 is going to make any difference in his fate.

    TMAC & OTHERS
Will you just give it a break. Who says this changes anything with Carr? It's not like he carried the team today. You are just projecting your fears on the franchise with no basis for your assumptions. Kubiak said he would give Carr a FULL year and then evaluate him. I fully believe he is doing just that and giving Carr every opportunity as evidenced by the non-beching last week vs. the Pats. In your mind we've already named Carr starter for next 6 years just because we won today. That is STUPID. That hasn't happened and I don't believe it will happen. You are getting upset over NOTHING.

    SUMMARY
If we were a team that grind it out on the ground and win games that way, then yeah, maybe Carr's performance today would MEAN something or make a difference. But that's not our team. Carr was decent today but it no way does it all of a sudden mean that he's a trustwothy QB. We know this, and I thing the Texans NOW know this. This game doesn't change anything.

I seriously don't know how you couldn't be happy. Nice to see them get that monkey off their backs.

    Beating divison foes is huge.

We were 3-3 this season in the division...that's good news.

With all that went wrong last night with Yao, I needed some good vibes. Thanks, Colts!

We aren't nabbing a top 3 draft pick either way, so I'm fine with some pride.

They aren't going to base their decision on Carr one game where Ron Dayne carried the offense. They are going to evaluate him based on the whole season.

As for the thread question, yes I am happy. The young guys (Demeco, Dunta, Mario, Andre) need to learn how to win and gain confidence more than they need a few spots up in the draft order.

and its not a great draft anyway. if this team ends up 6-10 given all the downs it had this season, they and the fans would have to be very happy.
