I would be willing to bet any new contract would simply be to lower his cap hit. I doubt it would add very much guaranteed money or future years.
We don’t have to do anything until next off-season. It cost a draft pick, but in reality it’s a one year prove it deal. The Texans hold all the cards with Diggs. CJ is going to spread it out all over the field. I don’t know why we would ever run the ball ever again, maybe screens and draws.
Joe Mixon will have a lot of room to manouever, though. I think balancing the run and pass will make them elite. Think of the deep passes that will be available in heavy run sets after Mixon has been gashing the opposition.
He has no guaranteed money after this season, high level players don't like to play without guaranteed money. And his cap number is too high. More than likely they guarantee two more years of his four year contract via restructure will bring his cap number down due to bonuses

I agree but I think CJ and Stefon just vibe. Stefon hasn't had a QB before where you could say they vibe or have off field chemistry. Stefon will be on his best behavior. CJ won't be afraid to call him out that's for sure. Stefon wants a ring and he knows this may be his last shot because CJ may be the best QB he's ever played with
