So who do you think they should go after WHEN they get the #1 draft pick? Do they keep Carr or go after someone like Matt Leinart? Do they trade the pick away for some decent O linemen?
The value of those picks are so high that we can trade down, get a good offensive lineman, and an offensive linemen in the trade from the team to build the line.
There are gonna be plenty of teams wanting to trade up for Leinhart, so there will be alot of offers on the table. We'll probably be able to stay in the top 5 and pick up an extra first round pick plus more. The question is how much faith do you have in Carr at this point. I don't think I'm ready to call him a bust yet due to the state of our oline, but if hes going to continue to regress this season I think we have no choice other than to pick Leinhart ourselves.
It has to be Reggie Bush. He's a complete game changer. I think Leinart might go lower than people expect (out of top 5).
Yep, there are gonna be a lot of teams wanting to trade up for Leinart and Bush. Our best option would be to trade down for a top5 pick and a additional first like you said, pick up D. Ferguson with our high pick and maybe we could steal another stud OL like Jonathan Scott with our lower pick. Our offensive line needs to be addressed first and foremost, period. Bush wouldn't be any more productive than DD with this team. Bush has the luxury of having one of the best OL in college, they block for him and they give Leinart enough time to find him. You put Bush behind THE WORST OL in NFL and you'll get the same results as we are seeing now, nothing. BTW, Leinart is a top2 pick for sure.
