anyone know where i can easily get a tetanus shot? someplace i can walk in, pay, get shot, walk out. i don't really really want to make an appointment with my doctor who is pretty far away and probably have to spend more time in there than i have to. and if you're wondering why, i was cleaning some debris in the backyard and was carrying some wood. i tried to fling the wood on a pile and one of the nails sort of punctured me. it's not that deep, but for the peace of mind of my family they want me to get one. also, i haven't had one in over 10 years.
Don't go. India is a dreadful, dreadful place. You know, it's the only country that still has the plague? I mean, the plague! Please! If I had to go to India, I wouldn't go to the bathroom the entire trip.
haha, classic.. Although, the country has changed so much since that episode. I remember going there 10 years ago and it feels like a totally different country today. Amazing what a little outsourcing will do for you.
I just got one from my doc...Apparently, you should get one every 10 years and of course when you get punctured with a rustly nails etc. She said the once every 10 years is just in case as in theory, for whatever the type of accident, in some cases, you only have a 48 hr window to get the shot or else you get really sick... It didn't hurt going in, but man, a couple of days later, I had a fever, I got this big red swollen welt on my arm and it hurts...damn shots...
yea, tetanus is always associated with the rusty nail when you can really get it from any type of cut. i never went to get a shot (part laziness, part forgetfulness) and not really feeling any effects. of course, it could already be too late though. i've been cut many times before this this year. i remember going to the doctor on campus for a tetanus, but that was about 8 years ago.
Even though I hate this company go to Kelsey Seybold. They should be able to see you and everyone has one in their neighborhood. This sounds bad but you can also go to one of those ghetto clinics you see. I did one time for a flu shot.
