Quick trivia question: Do you know why the company was named "Tesla?"

    Isn't Tesla in financial straits?

That's a sweet looking car, and for 60k sounds like a great deal.

    After the scientist?

I don't know. That would be the obvious guess but I bet there is some strange story with the company that I'm not aware of. I know nothing about this company.

On another note, the car is pretty nice looking.

Basically to honor who they think was more responsible for electricity, even though most accolades go to Edison.

Well compared to other 60k cars and the tech under the hood, it looks like a great deal to me. Tesla has another sports model that sells for 100k so I'm surprised this is as low as it is.

And actually I'm an A to B guy who doesn't care for cars in general. I'm sticking w/ my 95 Camry until it collapses. ;)

I was about to say that in ten years driving as I do, you'd recoup $20k of that purchase in gas costs, but then I started thinking about the opportunity cost vs. just putting that 20k into a conservative growth product that using the rule of 72 would more than likely put that extra 20k into your pocket anyway.

In other words, never mind. :)
