Some non-X06 news coming out today via the latest issue of OPM. Basically, Oblivion will be a launch title for the PS3, which really isn't much of a surprise (been hinted at since basically the original announcement of the game). Similar to the Assassin's Creed situation actually (except that AC isn't released yet of course).

Not sure what all is in the magazine exactly, but apparently, it will feature an additional 10-20 hours of quests, including a new faction called the Knights of the Nine (the opposite of the Dark Brotherhood apparently).

They talk about it a little in the following podcast, although they're don't mention all the details (supposed to buy and read the magazine for that):

I doubt there will be anything else noteworthy from the magazine article, but if any new info is posted, I'll try to mention it here (such as the differences between the PS3 version and the PC/360 versions, if there are any).

And just as I am typing this, an update from 1UP:

There are screenshots at 1UP. I played the PC version with upgraded graphics (better textures and stuff), but from what I recall of the 360 version, it doesn't look like these screens look noticeably better than the 360 version. Looks like the Sony "prophet" didn't know what he was talking about. ;)

Awesome. I really want this game.

Of course, they'll be several versions of Oblivion down the road before I'm able to afford a PS3, but whatever.
