If he is the backup for Griffin at the 3, where does that leave Walt, Langhi, Bullard? Or is Griffin supposed to play the 4?

Walt and Cato can be shipped to Chicago in exchange for B.Miller.
Bullard can respectfully retire and become a colour analyst or some other job in the organization.
While Langhi and Morris can fight for the back-up slot.

On second thought, that would leave our small forward spot in very inexperienced hands, keeping Bullard for one more year might be a smart choice.

RT said, between giggles, EG gave him the option of playing at the 3, 4 or even the 5.
With TRock and our existing guys, think of the varying line-ups we can put on the court.

I am so stoked. What a great night to be a Rocket fan.

Cleveland seems to have an abundance of centers. Since we're on a roll maybe we can squeeze the Senegal project out from them.

I don't think the conditions have been disclosed. It's just beeing reported as a future first rounder.

Actually, it is the pick that is owed us by Detroit. It is not our own pick.

Detriot pick for Morris? A high price to pay don't you think for a 2nd rounder? Detriot had the number 9 pick overall this year. Next year it could be around 12-15.

Next year's draft will only be 10 deep or so. I think they had other reasons as well to do this.

We don't need picks for a while. We have an abundance of young talent. What we need now is some veteran leadership. That is done through free agency and trades.

I hope we can get Dream back for less than 5 million. Maybe, do a sign and trade for Webber.

Even if we can't get Webber. I would be happy with a lineup of

    Dream / Collier
    Mo T / Thomas
    Griffin / T Mo / Langhi
    Mobley / Shandon
    Francis / Moochie

Notice I only have 11 players. Walt and Cato for a player and some future considerations. Hell look what Rudy has done with this years "future considerations" [IMG]

A decent first rounder for Terrence Morris... I guess this was a "let's pacify Steve Francis" decision. Ah well, I'm happy enough over Griffin that I don't mind.

Guys I would love to have Dream back but I don't think it will happen I'm seeing it more like this:
    PG Francis/Norris
    SG Mobley/Williams
    SF Bullard/Morris/Langhi
    PF Taylor/Griffin/Thomas
    C Cato/Jackson/Collier
Here's what I see at the PG we're in great hands, no doubt.
SG move Walt their for defensive reasons need a big guard but if we don't sign anyone Walt can play there. Just an opinion.
SF resign Bullard but T-Morris will make Bull and Langhi work harder on defense if they want to stay on the court.
PF resign Mo-Taylor with Eddie learning behind him and KT backing up both of them.
C if we can't resign Dream then sign Jackson who is a great rebounder(we need help there) and to make sure Cato doesn't get hurt again and we still have Collier(the perimeter shooting center).
It looks good to me. The main goal right now should be on Mo-Taylor and Dream.
Webber who??? No need for him now....

I think the Detroit pick is a pick that can be obtain from any team as long as it is a first rounder and not due until 2004. I could be wrong though.

Honestly, I think Morris is a really good pick, especially considering that Detroit pick could be ANY first round pick they have between now and 2004!

Morris gives them a back up at the small forward and a different look from Walt Williams (if he's still here). IMO, if all they do is re-sign their main guys, this is a very good team already.

I hate doing these line-ups, but...

    Francis/Norris (re-signed)
    Mobley/Francis/Morris
    Griffin/Williams/Morris/Langhi
    Taylor/Griffin/Bullard
    Cato/Collier

Now, put Olajuwon on that team and you have a really athletic and MUCH bigger team. They will have to address the center position long-term if Cato isn't the answer, but they don't need a big time scorer at that spot now with Griffin, Francis and Mobley. They just need a banger who can defend and rebound.

Who is going to pay for T Morris's Mercedez?

    I like this line up:
    PG Francis/Moochie
    SG Cutino/Morris (2&3)
    SF Griffin/Langhi
    PF MO/Kenny
CT Free Agent/Cato (hopefully we dump)/Collier

Hakeem only if he signs the veteran's min. Also trade Walt (who has value on the cap next year) for future draft picks or to sweeten a sign and trade for PF or Center?
