    9. Ban WNBA players from any and all events

Hey, here's a newsflash: Something involving the WNBA isn't working! Jeez, I can't believe it! You're kidding me?!?!?! This league has the Midas touch!

Here's the thing: They had every right to start a women's hoops league. It's a free country. After six years, TV ratings have been microscopic, roughly 250 teams have either folded or relocated, and nobody gives a crap. That's just the way it is. The people have spoken. But since the NBA owns the league, they keep shoving the product down our throats -- endless commercials during games, a staggering amount of promotion, millions of dollars down the tubes. And still, nobody gives a crap. This is a whole other column.

Anyway, to keep subjecting us to WNBA players on All-Star Weekend, tossing them into contrived events that invariably end up embarrassing everyone involved ... how does this make sense? What am I missing here? Instead of promoting the league, it makes fans want to dislike it even more. How does this help anyone? Do we need to stage a massive intervention? Should I start organizing one? Just say the word.

    :::sniffle::: It's beautiful...just beautiful...

I always thought they needed to have a high dunk contest. The players are too athletic and it would be interesting to see who could dunk the highest goal.

    That whole list was great.

I loved the crack about mini-Kobe.

Well, his last comment about the all-star voting has been beaten do death. If the fans wanted to vote in Lebron and Carmelo they would have done it.

Damn all this coaches picking reserves......let the fans pick all the players.
Big men are banned unless you're a Dirk/Garnett type player that can actually entertain.

1st/2nd/3rd teams as well as all the awards given at the end of the year is plenty enough........especially when you have player of the week awards.
    C'mon.........Player of the FREAKIN' week......wow.

    Enough with the celeBrats.....that's right....celeBrats.
Jack is cool since he's basically a Laker, and there are a few basketball fans like him out there.........but the rest shouldn't get anymore camera time.
There are LITERALLY already 100+ award shows every year so pretty much anyone that has acted/performed wins an award eventually. There is enough focus on them there.

    The Skills challenge is ghey........GHEY.
    Waste of time.
I don't mind the WNBA/veterans mix in as long as it's over quickly like this year............though...........I wouldn's miss it if it was taken.
    6 Dunkers.
Judges that know how to rate dunks.
3-point shoot out is fine..........just get 6 SOLID shooters instead of only 3 or less. SHOOTERS.
Goddamnit TNT, we don't mind advertisements for your shows, but sh][t....does it have to be every 10 seconds.

Let Barkely, Kenny, and EJ do the entire Saturday evening as well as the All-Star game.
I LOVE Perv Albert(not the other two), but let him do regular games.

Actually I think it would be interesting to see a real game where the 12 best WNBA players play vs. 12 NBA bench players.

The men would of course still win but it would be fun to see the differing styles of play and these games aren't about the results anyway.

    My 12 WNBA players:
    Sheryl Swoopes 6'0"
    Lisa Leslie 6'5"
    Tina Thompson 6'2"
    Margo Dydek 7'2"
    Lauren Jackson 6'5"
    Tamika Catchings 6'2"
    Nikki Teasley 6'1"
    Chamique Holdsclaw 6'1"
    Yolanda Griffith 6'3"
    Katie Smith 5'11"
    Natalie Williams 6'2"
    Swin Cash 6'2"
