I'm 37 and my back hurts a lot when i wake up. especially lower back. That's not right. I"m wondering if a change in mattress would help and have read stuff about the foam mattresses that suggests it might.

Any comments, good or bad, would be welcome about this subject. I don't mind spending the money if it means my back pain improves.

    Thanks.

The idea is that it helps your spine properly align. I have one and like it, but I didn't have back pain to begin with. So I guess it doesn't *cause* back pain haha. Another thing to look into is a tempurpedic pillow, I recently got one and I really like it. I think if you align your neck correctly, it sort of cascades all the way down to your back, etc.

Also, people are going to suggest buying cheaper generic substitutions, I would say you're better off going all the way if you want to do it.
