What's a good cheap/free Telnet program for Mac OSX? When I was on OS 9 I used "Better Telnet PPC". Is there one out there similar to that one? Thanks for the feedback!
Correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't Mac OSX come with telnet and ssh? I thought all you had to do was just open up a Terminal Window, and type telnet or ssh.
Usually at work, when i use PuTTY sessions to connect to my servers. PuTTY hope this is what you're looking for.
When I downloaded MacTelnet it was for Classic mode and not OSX. Did I miss something? As for Putty, it seemed like it was only available for PC. Did I miss the mac version on the dowload page?
Deuce, go here http://www.pure-mac.com/remote.html there is a list of remote access software for Macs..including OSX from the short read I did...it appears that you will need to use SSH instead of telnet...it is one of the things that Apple changed in OSX for more security...
Deuce, You should not use telnet, use SSH instead. It is trivial to steal the password if you use telnet. I believe the OSX version of SSH is called "fugu".
