I found Ceballos assist in a thread to be 0,1 in 15 minutes, so I guess I see why you don't want to take that into consideration. ------------------ The CC.net NBA Sim Board/Homepage

ok didnt see that, i used the Mid west web site but we still dont know what he did as a starter. i think the point is still the same ------------------ Hanta-Force Paintball www.hanta-force.com
But I agree with you VOR - without taking into consideration anything but pts and rebs they are simular in production just different. But going by production per 48 minutes might be wrong. Just as an example - I talked about Battie in the other thread - he did far from double his production as a bench player with 15 minutes, to a starter with 30 minutes. The most extreme part was his blocks being 0.81 in 15 minutes and 0.85 in 30 minutes. Of course he did only start for 7 games, and blocks is not the best stat to go by for shorter periods, but none of his numbers were close to being what I hoped for as a starter when I saw what impressive numbers he gave me off the bench. ------------------ The CC.net NBA Sim Board/Homepage

The bottom line is that if there is a discrepency between two players, the best of those two should be put into the draft. Marshall is better than Ceballos (don't give me that "equal" bull$hit; everyone would agree that Marshall is a better player) hence, he should be let go. There should be no controversy here. VOR should grin and bear it. I honestly don't care that much, but I don't understand why this is even an issue. ------------------ All hail Fadeaway's Cyberfish -- your 2000-2001 BobFinn* Fantasy Basketball League Champions!
I think to settle all of this, you should trade me Michael Finley for David Vanterpol. ------------------ "I always thought it was something that went around my house" - World B. Free on Defence
I say to settle it, VOR's team should have to play a 5 game series against the Eastern conference All-Stars. Whichever side wins that series gets to choose who VOR puts into the draft (Ceb or Marshall). ------------------ CC.NET Sim League Web Page My Team (Sonics) Feeling claustrophobic, like the walls are closing in. after the playoffs i would love to see how my team would perform against the east all stars. i think i would get cranked, but i would like to see it. ------------------ Hanta-Force Paintball www.hanta-force.com
I'm sorry, this trade is no longer available. You missed the boat VOR. ------------------ "I always thought it was something that went around my house" - World B. Free on Defence

ok so this is a thread i have decided to start comparing ceballos to marshall. the reason i am doing this is because people have gotten the idea that ceballos is a far inferior player to marshall. also that i should not be allowed to put an inferior player into the draft. the facts are that ceballos averages 17 points, 6.2 rebounds in 30.2 minutes as a starter marshall averaged 13.6 points, 10 rebounds in 32 minutes as a starter i didnt include marshals 2 assists per game as we do not have the stats on ceballos. we also do not have their steals, or blocks, so i will only compare what er can compare. if you calculate these numbers to be per 48 mins, you will see the actuall statistical difference between the two. after all it is only fair to compare apples to apples, and oranges to oranges. Ceballos/48 27.02Pts 10.81Reb in 48 Min Marshall/48 20.40Pts 15.00Reb in 48 Min thats 6.62 point advantage for Ceb and a 4.19 rebound advantage for marshall who is better??? neither, they are just different. it is my right as a gm to put in different players for what they bring to the table, but i certainly am not putting in an inferior player. my team is all about this season. i play the very best all the time, and i want the championship. so im not gonna tank like some of you. you see, to me THAT is cheating. i am accused of putting a lesser player in the draft. i have just given ample proof that he is not lesser, just different PEACE ------------------ Hanta-Force Paintball www.hanta-force.com
I really dont care who you put in the draft, ceballos is fine , marshall is fine . But marshall is better than ceballos. ------------------ http://www.al-gore-2004.org/ mgh 1924 - 2001 [This message has been edited by dc rock (edited June 18, 2001).]
