They just suck and they can't turn it around because they are not good.

what did you want out of this thread?

Sure, don't change the channel by putting the remote down and sitting there. If you can't stand it, then don't watch. those of us who still want to watch will continue to watch

Here's how not to switch channels on our beloved Astros:

Once the game begins, drink beer until you pass out.

You might be asleep, but you won't change the channel unless the remote is on your sofa and you roll over.

    :D

Well, having watched the Rockets from 1999-2004, I learned that a TV remote can be hurled across a room a suprisingly large amount of times before sustaining significant damage. Replacement remotes are also pretty cheap these days.

What you want to do is prop a couch cushion against the wall before watching a game, then make sure you chunk the remote at that same wall during every game. That way, the remote doesn't sustain any damage. If the remote is clear across the room, you can't change the channel...

LOL the last 3 post were hysterical...

Hmmm cushion the wall and through at it...

If I keep practicing I might build up my pitching arm and try out next spring...

The way were panning out I think I have a shot :)

Speaking of channels.....WTF is up with the feed on Ch 2???? How on earth can a major league baseball team be allowed to broadcast a game on a channel that is so poorly broadcasted???

what was the new cable deal? does that pertain to fox only?

the only thing worse than watching the astros lose.....is not being able to watch them lose

Do what I do: Use PIP and put the Lastros in the small window on the bottom while setting the other screen to the Playboy Channel or CNBC or the Cartoon Network or (you get the idea).

Don't know too much about the throwing of the remote business. I did it during the Rockets playoffs and it changed channels on me, causing me to get up in agony to switch the channel back and watch the rest of the 40pt blowout.

We can thank Drayton for making our team one of the most successful in the past decade.

I'm blue in the face though.

Blame him for everything bad. Give him no credit for anything good. Sounds about right.
