I'm thinking about getting it done...

I've heard it makes your teeth more sensitive though...

Are different methods more helpful? Is it worth doing? Any experiences with this?

    Aaaah....something I have recent experience in!! :D

My girlfriend of 9 months is a dentist with her own practice. I quit smoking in November, and she put me on a whitening program to get 30 years of tobacco stains off my teeth.

The method I use (I forget what it is called) is the one where they make a mold of your teeth in order to make upper and lower plastic trays. You put a drop of solution in each tooth crevice on each tray, then wear them in your mouth for an hour.

You are supposed to do it daily for 2-3 weeks. I did it daily for a week and now do it once a week or so.

It tastes funny, and if your teeth are ultra sensitive, I can see how you could have a reaction. Your teeth kind of tingle while you are wearing the trays.

After an hour, you remove them and brush your teeth to get the taste out.

It works, though. My teeth are brighter than ever before. Go for it.

I paid with "services rendered". :D

Want me to find out how much she charges? Let me know, I'll ask, and then PM you the price if you want (so you can compare prices).

Zoom whitening is awesome and very fast, but kinda pricy.

I thought it was totally worth though. My teeth look great.

It makes your teeth tingle and a little sensitive, so I wouldn't chew on ice immediately after taking the trays off. I'd wait about 10 minutes. Ehsan, I asked her that before we started, and she said it is safe.

Sounds great... Is there any way you can remember the name of the method or ask her if you can't remember?

I'm not in any rush, so anytime would be great...

After Zoom, you might be taking Ibuprofen for a few days tops, but it didn't last long.

This is not really that big of a deal. The means will justify the cause.

I've used the Crest Whitestrips before and they made a very noticeable improvement. I'm about to use them again to try and see if one more round can help even more.

I didn't notice any sensitivity except for when I immediately took them off. After about 5 minutes, my teeth were just fine.

I'm a certified pedorthist(an allied health professional specializes on foot& ankle), I'm about to launch my new business and it happens to be teeth whitening.

This is the latest procedure comparable to BriteSmile but at a much lower cost,1/4 of the time, BriteSmile takes almost an hour, this procedure takes only 12 minutes and you get up to 6 shades, if you do a back to back session, you can get your teeth whitened up10 shades.

And the beauty of this latest technology is there's no pain as far as teeth sensitivity. I've had BriteSmile done and my teeth hurt because I've got sensitive teeth.

Forget about the other methods such as trays(even done in dentist office), strips ect.... they're pain in the ass, take forever to see results and not very impressive.

I will fly to Vegas soon to finalize the deal with the manufacture, I have already secured a location here in Houston(my hometown), I'll keep you guys posted!

I've done this, and can't remember the name, but it starts with an "R", maybe Rev...The only thing different from yours is that you do it for 15 minutes a day for about two weeks when the syringe runs out...After the 15 minutes, you rinse you're teeth with a solution...I do a touch up every couple of months...

Edit: Oh, and I paid $75 for the trays and 1st treatment during the holidays and its $20 for each pack after that...

I just had laser whitening this past monday i went to super smiles in the north west side of town here is the link http://www.supersmilescenter.com/
the good thing is that I only paid 330 dollars and thats it!! This includes the blue laser whitening which took about 45 minutes plus they will make molds of your soon to be white teeth for no extra charge so you can use the bleaching gel and wear it during night for 5 days. All this for $330, better than my own dentist in which she offer was a take home bleaching kit which takes up to 2 to 3 weeks for 250 dollars, SCREW THAT I got the real deal for only 80 dollars more and then some. Right now my teeth is bright as Hell!!
You might experince tingling sensation during the procedure but is not bad, unless your a Girly man.
