Let me explain my problem first. A few GOOGLE searches leads me to believe my SP2 (Service Pack 2 for Vista) has encountered a problem with an update through Windows Update recently and now my Windows recognizes my product key as being invalid (which came preinstalled when I purchased the PC.) I keep getting asked to activate Windows and to enter my product key. Uninstalling SP2 and reinstalling it appears to be the only fix for my problem. I can't seem to local SP2 to uninstall it though. Its not in Control Panel > Remove Programs nor is it listed under "View Installed Updates" Microsoft suggest if its not listed to use the command prompt which is not working either. Last but not lease I've tried restoring my PC to an earlier datso I restored to the earliest date possible about 3 weeks ago and it's still not recognizing my product key. Help please!
