Hey all. I borrowed a friends Epson PhotoFine P2000, and downloaded some photos from it onto my PC.
However, now that I've finished, and I want to disconnect it I do the whole 'Safely Remove Hardware'thing, but get an error message 'The device 'Generic' cannot be stopped right now. Try stopping the device again later.'

Also, the P2000 has a message on it 'Connecting to PC. Do not turn off power or disconnect the USB before the operation is complete.'

I've been waiting for about 30mins for it to connect, but I think it's just frozen up.

Any help would be welcome. If I just disconnect, will I lose all his photos??

    Thanks

Did you use a program to transfer the pictures from the camera to the computer? If so it might need to be closed.

Nope, just copy and pasted them. Is that bad?

You should not lose anything from that. Unless you were in the process of moving the files and not just copying them.

Thanks for the help guys. Those websites were just what I was looking for, SwoLy.

And the best part is that all the photos are still there. :)

    Again, thanks heaps.
