So i've been using GV for awhile now, first with a blackberry, but when i switched to an iphone awhile back, i d-loaded the GV app. I seem to be running into a problem with answering calls to my phone that I have my GV number setup to forward too. Basically my phone rings like it typically would, I slide to unlock/answer my phone, i then get GV telling me to press "1" to answer the call, problem being theres no dial pad available to press "1" to answer. anyone have any similar problems, or have heard of this issue that may know a fix?
when you answer the call there is a middle icon on your phone that says keypad, tap that quickly and you will be able to press 1 for enter or 2 to send to voicemail
Also, I think you can set up your GV so that you do no screening. The phone just rings like it regularly would. I had mine pointing to my home office and my Verizon cellphone and both would ring simultaneously and I could answer either directly and seamlessly. I have a new problem. I switched to phone service with my cable internet company and I cannot get GV to recognize their signal when I have GV call me to confirm the new forwarding number. They send you a 2-3 digit code to respond with and I've done it several times and always get an apology message, "Sorry we did not hear your response...." CS at GV seems non-existent.
