Overall, the Select Team won 98-95. Here's how the four seperate scrimmages broke down.

    1: Senior Team 26, Select Team 18
    2: Senior Team 18, Select Team 15
    3: Select Team 26, Senior Team 16
4: Select Team 39, Senior Team 35 (OT)

    No, just practice...

They are probably working on different kinds of defenses and offenses that the select team does not have to. similar to Varsity JV practice. If it was a real broadcasted game it would be a blow-out.

Maybe he wasn't exactly clear, so let me repeat it again.

    We talkin' about practice.

This would be like saying a baseball team is screwed because they lose to their minor league affiliate in some spring training scrimmage.

Grant Hill and Jason Kidd beat the 92 Dream Team... Also Coach K is at the helm. What do you expect? He has no experience at this level. Its a joke.

The word is that Tim Donaghy was officiating the scrimmages.

    SELECT TEAM
Aaron Brooks <-Rookie of the Month last month
Channing Frye <-pro experience. soft but could start for a lot of teams
    Jeff Green <-high lotto pick
Devin Harris <-pro. good rotation player on excellent team.
Andre Iguodala <-pro. very explosive. underrated all-around game, can very much play on the Senior team.
Al Jefferson <-pro, near All-Star. BETTER efficiency rating than Dwight Howard
Jason Kapono <-the typical outside shooter selection for roster balance
David Lee <- averages a double-double coming off the bench for the Knicks, enough said.
J.J. Redick <-everyone's All American as a collegiate. suspect pro.

Only 2 guys with no pro level experience there. Half the Select team people can compete with (or might actually be better than) the bottom 1/3 of the Senior team.

I don't get what you're trying to say with this post? Was the Senior Team playing against scrubs? NO. Were they playing against a team that they should have been able to kill, regardless of it being practice or any situation, YES!

Obviously the select team isn't going to be made up of Bryant Reeves, Cherokee Parks, and company...but they still shouldn't be able to keep up to a team full of superstars in a full-pace game-like setting (referees, clock, coaches on both sides, etc).

I'm not saying team USA was doomed, it was more of a joke question - but they still should have been able to cream these kids.

Another thing - half of the Select Team is NOT better (individually) than the bottom third of the Senior Team...if you disagree, I want you to name names.

    i'd say
    Al Jefferson > Nick Collison
Jason Kapono = Mike Miller/poor mans Redd
David Lee w/ more playing time > Tyson Chandler
    Andre Iguodala > Tayshaun Prince
    the rest is Senior >

The best team is one that has great chemistry, not necessarily the one that has the best individual players.
