[Team USA] Coach K Picks Gerald Wallace over Iggy and Granger

    Perhaps this is something for the people of ClutchFans to chew on. With all this talk about trading for Andre Iguodala and Danny Granger were boths passed on in favor of Gerald Wallace. One of the largest arguments against trading for either of those two has been the "Above average player taking advantage of being on a bad team," arguement. I'd say this is some fuel for that fire.

    He's selfish, but I wouldn't mind seeing him in the 2 spot next to Chauncey.

    That said, I think we really need more shooting range from the guard positions.

    Well you also have to take into consideration the fact that their building a team already filled with players similar yet better than Granger and AI. There are already a ton of guys who need the ball to be effective, so getting Granger and AI will just add more redundant pieces. Crash's physical game, insane rebounding skills and all around scoring ability will fit the team more.


    The better question is why was Evans picked instead of Granger and Iguadala. Not only is he a rookie who hasn't learned to share the ball, he also doesn't play D.

    Granger is a superior all round talent as compared to G.Wallace,Iggy is better than him as well. Granger is better than Iggy IMO. All 3 of them are "above average players" on a bad team.

    Wait, did Coach K pick Wallace over the other two already or are you just reading the sidebar, which is Chris Sheridan's guess on who will make the cut?

    Wallace is more efficient than either of those, and a better rebounder, add to that, the main SF will be without a shadow of doubt, Durant you're really looking for someone who will impact 10-15 mins a game.

    I agree that they cut them due to the fact that there are similar players on the team, but also that those similar players must have been viewed as the better players. I'd still love to grab someone like Granger around the trade deadline myself, but I also this does speak for those who believe that they would be much less impressive on our roster.

    Out of all the NBA games I have seen, Seeing Gerald Wallace on the Bobcats was by far one of the most impressive, and I have seen EVERYONE play...

    Ummmm...what are you guys talking about? I'm watching basketball camp on NBATV and all three are there, Wallace, Granger, and Iggy....the team hasn't even been picked yet guys, they're just started the selection process.

    Since I have been called out for blatantly disregarding just about everything other than they hyperlinks in that sidebar... I don't see any reason someone would keep Gay over Granger.

    Gerald Wallace is a good all-around player. You act like he picked Adam Morrison over Iggy and Granger.

    What does picking Wallace have to do with Rocket fans wanting to trade for him?

    All three players are on about the same level, except for maybe Iggy who I don't think is quite as good as the other 2
