Rockets are currently on terrific row, 12 games, playing the best basketball in the last 10 years.

They're 36-20 and four more wins would make a new team record, 16 W in a row.

Current record is 15 wins in a row by a championship Rockets team, and thats the beggining of that season,15-0, WOW.

Rockets have 5-6 next games at home so this is great, they have:

Wizards - Pretty iffy team, plays sometimes great, sometimes screws all.

Grizzlies - Rockets should watch out for these "easy" opponents, when you're 7th seed and you're on 12th game winning streak something's wrong with the world, these are must win games.

Nuggets - Probably the toughest team of these three, if the Rockets play like vs Hornets, ok that's a win. If we see a good performance let down like vs. Kings whe should reask ourselves.

I truly hope Rockets can make a history with this.

Btw, if they pass these three games they have a record breaking game vs. Indiana Pacers.

none of this matters though if they dont win the championship. 15-0/championship season >>>>>> 16+ game win streak and no ring

People only remeber the championship Rockets had won 15 games in a row. But many forget they did it a season before that. The most amazing thing about it is both streak happened in the same year - 1993.

I'm not even comparing those two teams but I'm just putting how Houston Rockets can be really good.

To me, the overall winning percentage at the end is more important than how long a winning streak we have.

If we only lose only once every 5 games, I don't mind if we never have a long winning streak.

Remind me who beat the Rox to make them 15-1 back in '93 so i can renew my hatred of them (even though NONE of the players played back then).

Atlanta - And I think they had the #1 seed in the east that year too.

Atlanta Hawks, in a butt whoopin' at the Omni.

I remember it like it was yesterday. I was a boy scout at the time and got home late because my troop had been Astro Hall setting up for the upcoming Scout Fair. I remember being crushed over a loss that really didn't mean much at all.

    Atlanta Hawks....

If I recall correctly, the 92-93 Rockets had a very streaky year. The had a losing streak of either 9 or 10 games, but also had an 11 game winning streak and a 15 game winning streak.

the 92-93 rockets also had a 15 game streak. The blazers ended that one.

Ok, thanks! For some reason, I thought it was Atlanta & I remember it. It was right after beating NYK for 15-0, right?

Oh yes, I remember that NY Knicks game. Hakeem, Carl Hererra and company shut up all the doubters and trash talkers leading up to that game. I have that game recorded on VHS. Good stuff!

If the Rockets lose the next 3 games, there is may be no championships. They need to make it to the post season before they even think about championship. They can't get ahead of themselves.

I am not saying that they need to be thinking about a championship now. What I am saying is that the championship is the END GOAL, not a long win streak. If we win 20 games straight and go out in the 1st round again then the streak doesnt matter...it doesnt live on. If they win 20 games straight enroute to a championship then its the stuff of legends, just like we still talk about 15-0 to kick off our first championship season. Not many remember we did it the year before as well.

But having said that, I agree with you, one game at a time, dont get ahead of yourself, dont get comfortable, dont get complacent. Of course I hope they continue to win, but if they lose tomorrow thats OK because at the end of the day I'm not nearly as concerned about a regular season win streak as I am about going all the way.
