I got an email from an old friend of mine; he was recommending a website to me to peruse that is run by a former student of his. I thought you all might enjoy it: www.TeamRankings.com. Check out the Rockets-- the #7 ranked team in Away Games...

My friend writes: "Best wishes to you and all of your family. Enjoy the rest of basketball season. If you have a few minutes, check out teamrankings.com, a website run by one of my former students (one of the smartest math students I ever had--brilliant). He was interviewed about this website a few years ago by Sports Illustrated, whose writer couldn't understand the computations Mike used to rank teams, so they wrote that the method was proprietary. I called Mike up and he told me that he was trying to explain it but the SI writer just couldn't get it. I wasn't surprised. But the site itself if
    great--worth a few minutes."

6 of the top 7 MLB teams are from the AL. I just thought that was interesting.
